I would put Try machine up a bit (bigger sets are harder to get) and Triple centurions down a bit although they will probably start at your prices.

Justin, I can't understand why you are so upset about no ET triple centurion card, if anyone should be up in arms its should be the DL fans, I mean at 355 games he of all past players should deserve one.

Im not upset, im not even suprised. It just ticks me off that if there is any way of getting Cronulla out of a set they will.
I guess 2002 All Star sig, 2003 Jersey, 2003 Jersey sig and2009 Captains sig isnt enough Lockyer love shown by Select.

It's certainly poor form that Select has cheapened the triple centerion cards by not putting the players with the clubs they played the most games for. May be it was out of Select's hands, maybe they just decided lazily to put them with the club they served last, but come on. Kimmorley played 46 games for the Dogs, 140 for the Sharks. Priddis played 162 games for Penrith, but I you can be sure he'll be wearing the red v on the card - a club he played only 30 games for. Same goes for Steve Price who should be in a Bulldogs jumper.

Looks ok but will wait to see them until getting too excited. I like that the checklists have moved to the back. Next step is 2 pages per team. Shame there is no Auto cards but it does look like there is some interesting subsets to collect and looks reasonably collectable while still being interesting for kids. Hopefully they will hit the spot with series 2 for the more serious collectors.

I suppose when you look at it that way he has had his run, its a pity ET missed out but Select just include what they are told to. I really think that the positives outweigh the negatives with this release. These is enough new material and thinking style to keep the majority of collectors (kids included) happy

Yeah Tak i think we can agree its a vast improvement. I think a 1:72 (or higher) insert set could have really put this set over the top however i prefer the tryscorer cards to a bunch of "rookies" i have never heard of. We asked for fresh ideas and thats what they gave us.

you would have to think the triple centurians set would carry over in series 2/next years champions.
you would have to keep some big names for the next set, like ET and Locky and hopefully with signature!!!

No Terry Campese in the Raiders set?? But glad they left Blake ferguson out haha. Although I notice he is in the try machine set. Good to see Josh McCrone get the card with Dugan plus Josh Papalli as Raiders rookie is nice. Except for no Campo it looks nice on the Raiders front

Just got off the phone to Steve Wang. He has just spoken to the production manager and we will not have NRL 2012 until at least the 20th March. Select will update their Facebook page today apparently.

Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on all the Raiders cards in the series before the 1st April as that's when I'll be getting all mine signed. I'll be very pissed if I don't have them by then lol

Yeah but 1 of 1 signature cards or even 1 of 50 signature cards isn't fair for the majority of fans. Most cannot afford those prices. Cards should be there for all to collect or at least the majority to be able to collect

I have just been through 09,10 & 11 champions pricing. I think this is what can roughly be expected based on previous years data and what a box costs.

Base set - $10
Parallel Laser Sticker - $1 each, $140-$180 for a set
Try Machine (1:6) - $3-$4 each
Rookie Standout (1:12) $5-$6 each
Showtime (1:18) $8-$12 each
Triple Champions (1:36) $20-$25 each

These price pretty much make a box break even. What do you guys think?

Even if the prices are near to the mark it will still be close to a $1000 ( with 1 set of Stickers ) to $1200 ( with 2 sets of stickers ) for a complete set as there will be at least 2 case cards and maybe 3 with that as well as at least 2 folders .......

So it will still be a reasonably expensive set to complete .....
