Thought id just make a thread for all things wrestling. I am a big kid at heart and love my wrestling, usually had to d/l anything to watch it but now that i have foxtel its great for keeping up to date.

I can see a jericho/rourke feud coming into WM25 which i think could be a pretty cool angle. See it playing out along the same lines as the mayweather/big show angle last year. Would rather see jericho going for the title but ay can't win em all.

Also on WM i wanna see orton take that title his new faction The Legacy are great and the wwe really did need some factions like they had back in the 90's.

So whats everyones opinons on whats going on? :v:
 
Love wrestling!!

Don't normally watch the Weekly shows (Raw, Smackdown, etc) but try to catch up with the PPV's.

I heard that Rourke is actually going to WM!! How awesome!

I'm just getting the Rumble. I have some PPVs to watch after next week (5ish weeks off work), so will need a few things to do.
 
i tried getting the rumble but it f'd up so gotta get it again, didnt realise how up to date raw was on aussie tv it freakin told me who won the rumble!

Yeah jericho went on some talk show and started talkin crap you know setting it all up, so i reckon it will be great!

You going to the raw tour this year?
 
I think the pay per views are good, but smackdown and raw tend to be less interesting.
Ive been watching the wwe for the last 12 years, ive found the wrestlers arnt as interesting as they were back in the mid 90's, when rock, austin, foley ect were around
 
IF YOU SMELLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOK'N. Bloody hell, I dont care what anyone says, when Stone Cold, Foley, The Rock and others walked the walk, it was the best. I dont get into the new crew of people, I think they suck as they have no mic skills excect for Y2J. And can someone tell me HOW the big show is NOT World Champ? He IS the man!

Austin 3:16 was the whole reason I got into it, and am so happy when he makes it back every now and again.

But I agree, it's just not the same as it was in the 90's, but I am still hooked and stoll collect the cards :D Ha ha ha
 
Well austin is being inducted to the wwe HOF this year, so he will be making some form of appearance at WM!

Thanks to Mike i actually got an old SCSA figurine from 99, its a thing of beauty :lol::thumbsup:
 
Lately -

Not too happy with Matt Hardy. Obviously because of Jeff's popularity and long tenure in the WWE he was due a main event reign but if he doesn't win it back in the coming main events his reign was pretty short.

I'm a fan of Mr Kennedy - he's real funny haha, Batista is way overrated as he's not much of a character nor is he charismatic.

Right now I'm liking John Cena, but his character seems to be fading, he needs some new way to relate to the people..

I miss guys like Rob Van Dam and Chris Benoit (RIP - let's not talk about his death please guys).

Kurt Angle is the man he needs to come back, I want Triple H to get the title back.

Kennedy is the best new thing in wrestling for several years, pity he is injured again. And Batista does suck anus.

Angle is now wrestling in TNA and is unlukely to return to th WWE in the forseeable future. TNA is preety good, check it out if you can.
 
Yeah, to me, I see that there should be a KEWL Big Show as owner of the title. Someone that says little, smiles a lot, and just kicks ass.

Kane should be tagged with Mr.Kennedy. Why do I say this, its because if written write, they could be a funny but very effective tag team. Kane has personality as he has shown before. I think he if they did a good guy bad guy routine it would be great for the tag team division and also prolong both careers. It seems both get hurt too often.

I would put HHH on a losing streak where he loses all his matches due to some crazy pin combination and make him go nuts to the point where he try's to find what he had long ago. Lots of video segments on how he used to be and how that is no long working to watch him just get deeply depressed and have Stone Cold bail him out. I would no longer have Stone Cold wrestle, but he could then be a mentor to the BEST damn wrestler in the business. This would lead to some very interested TV.

I would even pay for the ROCK to do some Video Appearances reflecting on some of the past he was involved with. Retrospect will give them time to develop good angles to write for as right now in the last 5 years, its been boring as mud.

I would also bring back Chyna, have her form a all male team of drones who worship her and let them be a mutly crew. Of one of which is actually someone who they will do a push with to make them over with the fans. Someone that could wrestle, use the mic and also have a huge fan base, kinda like when the rock first started.

I mean if they could add Tony Atlas to the roster, they can find a way for Chyna to come back.

I wish I could write for them, there are so many angles that are not used that could be.

In respect to Kurt Angle, I thought he was brilliant, but he also was getting boring. TNA is ok, I rent the dvd's to watch it, but its not like the old days where the WWE and WCW were fighting for ratings every week.
 
80's wrestling was where it was at...... now it's more a soap drama than wrestling.

Original Hogan & Undertaker, Bundy, Junkyard Dog, Jake the snake, the animal etc was where it was at...... now it's just a bunch of pretty boys & dumbasses who think they're hot sh*t!

Haha. Wrestling was the sh*t back in the 80's... It was cool until the Attitude era ended. Sure I did watch it well after that, but every year they had the same boring rehashed dumbo jumbo. But in the time I did watch it I enjoyed goldust as he was the funniest s*it since Cartman farted fire.:lol:

I was also a fan of WCW and enjoyed the NWO days, and thought TNA was cool, but in the past year it hasn't been that hot, the x division is Mcdonalds on steroids. I did dibble into the indies which is the best pro wrestling if ya hate the soapies & zits on Orton's face.

But I haven't watched many wrestling in 6 months...

Haha, he was resigned by the WWE at 2002 Royale Rumble for a year or so and tagged with Booker T. He did some pretty hilarious stuff and the writing was good. I have it all on VHS somewhere.

He came back another year but wasn't a hit, so they released him
 
Pretty sure i saw golddust on this weeks raw, i think he may still be signed with WWE just not being used right now. He was a great character in the 90's.

I would love to see SCSA come back as a manager or something he cant wrestle anymore but he can throw around the odd stunner!

The rock has said he wouldnt wrestle again i think he is more concerned with being an actor now which is a shame, wrestling pushed him into the spotlight and he was great out there. As for chyna coming back i think that would be cool her vs Beth phoenix but again i dont see stephanie or HHH wanting her back anytime soon. Oh and she was just in rehab as well :P

As for Kurt angle he was one of my favourites in WWE, in TNA he is okay the Main Event Mafia are pretty cool and i like the people they have put together (Steiner, Booker, Sting, Angle).

I used to watch heaps of independents awhile ago (roh, czw, iwa, 3pw) but havent watch any in the last couple of years. ROH and Czw were featured in The Wrestler though which was cool.

I would really like too see kennedy stop getting injured or recording bad straight to DVD films and get a real push like he was gonna when he won money in the bank, Id love to see someone new holding the titles, Jeff hardy was okay but that was short lived and i really like the angle setup with him V Matt.

We will probably see Christian making a run for the title in the near future as well i believe, which is weird when you were watching those TLC matches and that back in 99 i wouldnt of thought those 4 guys would end up being world champions.

Are we talking about WWE or any wrestling in general, because isn't Christian part of TNA's roster atm..

Yeah he's still signed to WWE, he came back only a while ago. he's not looking in top shape but yeah he's an old fella ain't he :lol:

They only brought him back to bring some humour to Raw because Santino Marella is probably the funniest guy out and they keep bringing in past stars so that they can keep funny segments rolling..
