Do you think any deals are going to get done for the big names? Dwight? Nash or P Gasol?

Here's something I just read that involves Howard and Gasol

There's a rumor circulating involving Howard, where the deal actually will come down March 1. It goes something like this: The Magic send Howard, SF Hedo Turkoglu and Nelson to the Lakers; the Magic receive Bynum and Gasol. The salaries are close to matching up, making the deal work. A third team, the Toronto Raptors, could be part of the deal or in a separate trade with the Magic, sending PG José Calderon to Orlando. Could be a great deal for the Magic, under the circumstances. There are some obvious holes in the scenario or scenarios. For one, what do the Raptors get out of it? But the biggest hole is this: Howard is apparently cool on joining Kobe in L.A. Orlando Sentinel

Ahhhh, the Raptors sending Calderon to Orlando in exchange for ..... Nothing??!!?? Yeah, I think that's a bit of a hole! :lol:

Not a bad deal though if they can find something for Toronto

Headlines!

* The Jazz Lure a Point Guard! (Maybe Nash but don't think that will happen)
* The Cavs trade Jamison!
* Dwight Howard Stays At the Magic!
* Suns Keep Nash!
* Gasol Leaves The Lakers! (Have a feeling that he may have just had enough with the Lakers, Might Move to the Trail Blazers!)

* Jeremy Evans Joins Lob City!;)

That won't happen but it would be funny lol!

Please trade Anthony Randolph :(

I've read some with Gasol to Minny with Beasley, Barea and Randolph moving the other way :)

Those are just the main pieces, would involve some sort of cash, trade exceptions or picks as well...

Would that be a Facebook Page Called NBA Talk?!

It would be nice to see him play for the right team at the All Star Weekend though!! ;)

As a magic fan I'd like to see Dwight go to the suns for a Nash/gortat combo... Would be an instant improvement, image Nash distributing to the scorers and shooters we have...

Nash is the best distributor in the league I reckon.

Difficulty with Magic losing Dwight though is it entirely changes hat dynamic they have.

Magic are able to put up as many threes as they do because of the attention Howard draws. When everyone is looking in the centre at Howard it allows Richardson, Nelson, Turkoglu, Reddick etc to run around for spot up 3 or slash through for a easy deuce.

It's a tough call man. Dwights mum and the ORL GM reckon Dwight is staying, so for your sake I hope he does.

If he goes, one of two things will happen.

1 is that Magic will slump for the rest of the season, worst case scenario.

2nd is that they find out that the talent they have on their roster is being under utilised. The best modern example of this is Nuggets (or even NYK when Melo was out).
Sometimes a star player can make a team worse, because they possess the ball/attention too often.

Hopefully for ORL, they have the latter in the event of a trade. I reckon their roster is deep enough and skilled enough to contend. I feel a lot of players might even shine without a standout star.

Nets sign former Slam dunk champ

Gerald Green is not the same kid who came out of high school in 2005 when he was a first-round pick of Boston. But he has the same type of athleticism and explosiveness so the Nets took a low risk, high reward gamble and yesterday signed the 6-foot-8 forward to a 10-day contract. “Once I came out of high school, I was a little immature. I didn’t know any better. I didn’t know how to be a professional,” said Green, who joined the team in time to practice at SMU yesterday. “I’m a totally different individual.” Coach Avery Johnson conducted a two-forward workout last week in Houston and was impressed by Green, who can help at the Nets’ injury decimated small forward spot. Green impressed — and that impression improved when he was the MVP of the NBA D-League All-Star Game in Orlando over the weekend. New York Post
