In terms of completion I have yet to see a better one than mine. If its value, I think 18 Gallen LLBs kills mine.

I think that sports memorabilia is becoming easier to collect, NRL auctions are offering game used signed stuff nearly all the time, it makes it more accessible to the avg collector. In the old days there was no way an average fan could pick up such items.
So there is other NRL items to collect that did not exists before.

The other thing to think about is that a lot of NRL players are accessible to get stuff signed. You either pay hundreds for a certfied auto card or in some cases $10 for an ip auto.
Its not like the US where its almost impossible to get IP autos unless you are staking out hotels/arenas etc. and a lot of players wont sign IP.

and real player worn stuff was usually kept by the players, in the 80's the payers wore the same jersey all year, now they have woman of league round, close the gap etc and auction all the games used stuff to raise money for charity.
The billy slater game worn & signed 2013 woman in league round sold for a little over $2000 on the storm website. Really great piece for the price. Compared to paying a couple of hundred for an autograph 1 of 570. this is a 1 of 1.

i dont think it was game worn, dont make the mistake of thinking 'player issue' is game worn. they used that term to make you think it was game worn, but im pretty sure if you read the fine print you'll find that it wasnt game worn

It is not that dumb to collect just one card. I think it is a brilliant idea.

It all depends want you are going to do with them, they would look great in 9 pocket pages together. It would cost about 9 grand to have collected them ranging from $350 up wards as the card got slimmer to find. When spending that sort of money I dont think its greedy it is a hell of a call to make and a dear one at that

You could individually control the price of certain super rare cards if you started owning them all and collecting just one card. lol.
You could make them disappear from the market and slowly drop them back in. It often surprises me when I see people list 50 1960's cards all at once. It seems obvious they would get a better auction result if they listed them one at a time.

I think also we get to a point where you wondering how else can you pay bills. I lost my job last year (thanks can do newman) and now we are on one income. So i need to offload some of my collection to help pay for food, bills etc. If i still had my job i would be buying cards and adding to my PC. At this stage every bit helps and i hate selling my cards but at the end of the day they are just cards and i can always in the future get them back or replace.
I know the batman one he had last year was player issue and sold for a mint.... Had it been player worn I would have thrown thousands at it..... This years superman ones were player worn and The Nerd is me is still kicking itself for not having a spare $3k to get it!!
I am a huge nrl fan. And a huge superman fan...... The only other player worn I want is a slater or a smith..... What better jersey??!
Believe me... I considered selling my all my llbs just to get the $$$$! Lol.
