Unfortunately that is not an AFL only issue, it's common amongst the other forums too and is just a case of a reminder of what should be a common courtesy
Common courtesy doesnt seem to be so common anymore lol...

Just because I made an offer........This site was was like heaven when i first discovered it in 2011.
But now find trades are becoming so nuch harder to get over the line.
I'm constantly getting quoted ebay prices and getting lowballed.
The site i thought was to easily communicate, trade or sell your wares, but now feel that the great traders in here are getting squeezed into the abyss by greedy traders and salers.
I've had some great trades where the values of the cards havent matched exactly,
but each party got what they were looking for.
And really thought that was the beuaty of it.
i'm not sure why you have just dropped yourself in it - at no point did he mention you.Just because I made an offer........
Seriously mate their was no need to get angry earlier considering you didn't have the card still anyway.....
He said the exact thing to me in a PM.i'm not sure why you have just dropped yourself in it - at no point did he mention you.
if this is common place and happening regularly please use the report button - there is a thread at the top of every sale/trade forum asking people to keep them to two sale threads at a time.i got like that too, too many of the same posts being shown over and over again not bumped just re-made, iv made a few deals lately where i say to the potential buyer make an offer coz then they say what there happy to spend and really im just happy to get rid of the cards
i joined back in 2011 it was like 5am in the morning when i discovered the site i thought it was heaven so many potential buyers/sellers/traders it was a good community now its being over-run by little kiddies who cant speak and cant reply to pm's like stated earlier in this thread id rather list on ebay and put a link up because the people that are genuinly interested will be the ones that bid
Yep I agree if you're not happy about the standard of the forum, do something about it! If you do something then others will follow, there will be a snowball effect and it will be back on track!I think the other key is try to build the community here as well, what are we all doing to build the community spirit and strength?
Do you invite the good ebayers that you deal with?
There has been things like "A good deed thread" happen in the NBA forums where good deeds were done, so you would send cards to each other as a good deed to help out their collections, maybe something like that or a base card giveaway.
Love the idea of group breaks. $10-$20 for a team and you have the chance to get some nice inserts (more worth doing during select series 2).this is a little bit of change of topic but,
i know this site is more basketball orientated, as i see it. but maybe if we could get select or teamcoach in on this site like panini have in the past the afl section might be able to grow.
also, maybe there could be box/group breaks like in the basketball section?
i am not 100% sure how it is run, but it gets nba collectors involved more in the hobby. so if there were afl group breaks there could be more interest. i was involved in a team case share last year on another forum and it was awesome.
also, maybe when new members join up, they are emailed the rules. as i have dealt with a few new members and some are great, but most i have spoken too don't know the rules and i have had to explain the way to go about deals and other stuff.
any group break needs to be approved by @graham so whoever is planning on running it would need to contact him first.Love the idea of group breaks. $10-$20 for a team and you have the chance to get some nice inserts (more worth doing during select series 2).
Gets people excited about AFL and the AFL section on here.
Is it possible for us to organize a group break for the select series 2?
Is there enough of a spread of teams? If you were going to do it needs to be a team case share I was involved in 1 over on afltcc for last years prime and it worked pretty well

They had a pretty good formula 1 person per team, but the cards had a set price to cover cost of a case so no one paid the same so if your team had a lot of inserts it would cost you more but still worked out way cheaper than if you were to buy all those cards separately, I had Melbourne and from memory it cost me about $120 after the case was busted, and you also have people put there name down for case cards and redemptions if the person with that team didn't want them
