That is what I am afraid most, they are leaving to the members of the community to decide which may not be reflective of the rules.
I'm sure they would strongly suggest it be a negative lol

We are here to discuss cards not act like little *****es outing each other every time something goes wrong. Save an outing for when its worth it - like when bolly got ripped off 4 grand.
Issues like these can easily be dealt with by reporting it to the mods as per the site rules.

i didnt think there was a reason to report it to the mods? he didnt rip me off, or abuse me, or anything bad?
i asked a simple question as to what others would do because id never been in this situation before. wasnt aware i had to report to the mods if i wanted to leave negative FB?
you keep going on about an outing, but if i wouldve left him negative FB without opening this thread, he wouldve been outed anyway with a bad comment plus a neg to his name? this way, i mightve still left positive feedback if a few other peeps wouldve said thats what they would do. not opening it wouldve left a red mark next to his name straight away, which is what it seems pretty much everyone wouldve done.
if the mods think this thread is out of order, then they can shut it down.
no need to resort to name calling...
Sorry Sgt_Pepper - its not targeted at you or your thread specifically. I just think to much outing of people have been going on lately around here generally. IMO most of the time it comes across as pretty immature.
The mods are here to provide guidance on these issues - they should be first call for these types of things.
I agree with Owen here, some members here may have too much testosterone and tend to be aggressive in dealing with rights and wrongs. The MODS should be the first point of contact when somebody breaks the rules.
I think if you sent this original question to Matt or Billy they would be happy to give an opinion.

yeah thats true. but we all know what their response would be. i was hoping NOT to give negative feedback and was looking for a reason not to.
to me mods are like cops. i try and keep away from them and certainly would never call them. no offense to any mods, you all do a great job...

Ok guys , i am now going to say my piece.... Look i was the seller in this case , but by no means did i ever try and rip anyone off or did i think that this item was not well packed!!!!.... I can tell you all that i would be one of the most respected sellers from around Australia on Ebay and other forums with all 100% positive feedback.... Almost every buyer that buys from me says that they wish that there were more sellers like me that take pride and care in the way in which i ship out my items.... I really thought that i was doing the right thing here by sending these cards in the way i did????.... Everyone on this site is asking for blood and i really thought that i did no wrong???? So people on this forum should know the truth about this deal as by no means was it "Badly" packed.... I first of all pulled out these mint perfect cards out from there plastic sleeves and then placed them all carefully in separate hard plastic covers.... I then tapped these together so that everything was safe and sound.... I then use this method of cutting up 2 x 5mm thick cardboard in the same shape and size as a full envelope placing the hard covers with the cards inside these between the cardboard , both sides.... Then i use around 1/4 of a roll of packing tape around the whole parcel making it very strong and sturdy in which the cards inside are 100% protected from any outside damaged until they are opened up from one end.... I also understand the process about a padded mailer bag but i personally think this way is by far the best way in which no cards can get damaged in the post , but i guess that i am wrong!!!!.... Anyway dont judge me on this one transaction by saying that i wanted to save $1AU dollar in shipping costs by doing it my way or that i do not care , which is BS.... I do care as i am a collector myself and i also would be very upset if my item was delivered to me damaged.... But this was not damaged or was it badly packed.... From now on i will know not to send these cards in which the way i thought was best as they say communication is the key between sellers and buyers....Thanks for your time guys and i hope that you all see the both sides of this deal.... Steve.... PS I know that the rules are there for a reason but i really did not think that this was a bad way in sending an item....
