Hi all, I'm always looking to create conversation, especially when things can be a little quiet in the Hobby. I'll be shattered if Upper Deck NEVER come back. I seriously hope they do, I didn't love everything they did, but there's no denying the quality they put out there.

If anybody hears any news on if UD will get the NBA license again, please post away.

Until then, let's show off your Upper Deck favourites, can be low to high end, fav design, whatever.

Let's see what cards you like from UD.

Benny:)

I am quite impressed by the 12-13 Limited Logos, the acetate auto over the patch looks killer. I think the only thing they could improve is the pen type/quality they used.

Very nice design :) , unfortunate that the patches are manufactured! Game used College and HS jerseys would be massive!

And what do they look like?

Can't say I have a 2009-10 Limited Logos but here is my Premier Penmanship:

The Logos do look like this though:

Unfortunately, Upper Deck won't have a chance to get their hands on the NBA license again until 2017 at the earliest.
Their exclusive NCAA license expires next year, and with other companies possibly eyeing it, I think that they might have to worry about that first. <--- I personally do hope the NCAA license will be granted to multiple companies.

Anyway, the brand that I like most is SP Authentic. The card below is from the 1999-00 season (the season that Kobe became UD-exclusive).

I also like the basic Upper Deck brand (Series 1 and 2), as well as brands from the late-90's to mid-2000's such as Black Diamond, Ionix, etc.
And those affordable special Jordan brands following his second retirement....MJx, A Living Legend, etc.
Master Collection and Exquisite are nice too, but just too expensive for me to buy any even back then.

Considering all of Upper Deck's legal troubles over the last four years, they're lucky to still be floating. They've even taken to selling off some product licensing to Panini (hoops, Marquee - any one remember fleer doing Marquee?).
