TLA Player In Focus Limited Edition Cards - Released Each Monday 12pm

Interesting thing too - I watch NRL360 and they do a poll of three players and who was 'best' for the week.

It usually mirrors what is said on here. Last week it was Luay. There were other instances I recall when it was John Sutton.

I'm not sure what parameters are used to select the PIF, but when Blake Austin wins it last week or when Moses won it for bashing up Manly a way back, you know it's not always selected along performance lines.

He just seems like a very decent bloke. Players like playing with (always a good indication of character) and blokes like Oldie are what the game was built on.

From another site:

Has any player been as prolific in the try scoring stakes and been unwanted by every club he has been at as Michael Oldfield?

His record
Manly. Played 24 games scored 14 tries
Roosters. Played one. Scored one
Catalans. Played 44. Scored 29.
Souths. Played 3. Scored 2
Penrith. Played 1. Scored 1.
Canberra. Played 6. Scored 5.

He has playes 35 NRL games, has scored 23 tries and has been cut 4 times.
