TLA NRL Power Play Extreme 2017 (Official Thread)

While the element of players being paid fairly for signatures is part of the issue here, the main thing is representing a player, and them having to work with another Talent Management Company (for a product they are selling) gives them access to put doubt in their mins about how they are being represented.

An agent for the company sews the seeds of doubt in the players mind, tells them about how the grass is green elsewhere and before you know it..... you are no longer managing the player. All because they had access to them while signing some footy cards.

I mean in this case, Josh Hodgson has now been picked up by this management company all because because if it.

You think about Hodgson, could potentially be on 500/600/700K per year if not more? Agent takes his 10% of that plus other endorsements and thats a loss of 100K in income per year for the agent?

Big dollars at play here!

All I can see is that some managers may not want to deal with ESP/TLA after this which means we may get the same people signing over and over again.

Besides dans nrl collectables anyone seen these for sale yet??
Out tomorrow for retailers though some may have them out early, i think NZ might have got it early and im pretty sure they did give out some cards at the Roosters V Bulldogs game at least so there are some going around outside the main dealers

If you pay peanuts you will get monkeys, it is as simple as that.
Look at the present cutting of penalty rates, they really want to ruin this great country.
My personal opinion is if you want to work on weekends you should be paid to do so appropriately.
I f I went out on sunday and had breakfast and a coffee, I would rather pay an extra $10 for my meal and coffee just so people got paid the right amount, after all it is my choice to go out on that day and relax.

Why should someone who only wants to work one day a week (On a Sunday) get the same amount it takes me till Wednesday to earn?

If they want to bum around all week, That's their choice. But they shouldn't get a bonus for the one day they do feel like getting out of bed to work.

It's more for people who work retail/hospitality who don't earn much anyway and get by a little better due to that extra income. Most people who work for penalty rates are high school kids who only can work weekends or people who work days through the week anyway.

But that's off-topic really. I'm gonna try and get my wrappers sent super-early tomorrow morning so I don't miss out on the Inglis signature

Rob, there are a lot of people out there a lot less fortunate then ourselves, we buy football cards, live in houses etc, s h i t some of us even go overseas for a holiday, some people take what they can to afford to pay the bills and buy food.

What's that got to do with what I said?
Plenty of people who would rather work Saturday and Sunday because they make as much money as they would from Mon-Fri as well.
Got no problem with people on penalty rates when they've already done a weeks work (Or school or whatever) - But people who ONLY work on weekends because they get penalty rates should get the axe.

went for a walk at lunch and none of the locals don't have any in stock yet, although they do have fresh boxes of traders
