The Official SAN ANTONIO SPURS thread

They seemed to do ok today;)

The injury couldn't have come at a better time of the season. I think we have only 1 away games over the first 3 weeks of his time off!
Could be a blessing in disguise. We have struggled with a consistent backup PG option, so perhaps this forces Pop to choose!

It was only the pistons!! Parker is the one person on the spurs roster who goes backwards from missing games. He needs the continuity. Maybe it will get manu some more ball and confidence heading into playoffs but a bad time of year to get injured.

The same Pistons that pulled them apart on the Rodeo Road Trip!

Definitely disagree that it is a bad time. If there HAD to be a 3-4 week injury, I would take it now. 3 games clear of OKC and only 1 away game in 3 weeks?? It doesn't get much more favourable!

I agree, even if the Spurs lose top spot or even drop to 3rd they won't be too worried.

Also, how many games would Parker/Duncan/Manu be rested for coming up anyways?

Their home stand is friggen awesome coming up and the Spurs have one of the best home records in the League.

Hopefully Parker is back with a couple of weeks lef tin the season like he should be. Get him going again and then it's Playoff time.

There never is a good time for an injury but this isn't too bad. Spurs do need Manu to get it going again (which he has been lately).

Agree there Benny. Most important Manu gets going now. The spurs record without Parker is 50% as opposed to 80% with him which isn't great. Let's see how it pans out.

Yeah I saw the 50% stat. But in those games they mostly also missed Duncan and/or Ginobili.

I think they're 3 and 1 without Parker alone. Hopefully they go along at that clip and be sweet to stay on top.

Good to see my man Manu turn another game on its head. Very impressed with patty today, hopefully he sees more minutes. Tries his heart out on every play. Just quietly I enjoyed Nate robinsons special delivery layup!!

Yeah dude, Manu was very nice.

Patty is going great, he may get a start soon.

Spurs are doing great, 6 and 2 without Parker.

Okc losing a couple is helping ALOT.

Tim Duncan with another monster game today. This guy is amazing.

Spurs are flying through this reqular season as always drob...If they play this well in the playoffs, I think a Spurs v Miami Finals matchup is on the cards...

Yeah that would be an interesting match up.

I really like what the Grizzlies are doing as a bit of a roughy in the West.

If the spurs keep playing the way they are they won't be seeing any finals!! We're playing much better this time last year but ran into a hot okc.

They are doing pretty well with Tony out IMO!

Also, OKC aren't going to beat SA in 7 without Harden! It just isn't happening!

I said they wouldn't beat us in 7 last year but your right no bearded one. Lakers first round match up will be interesting and some good teams in form like the nuggets and gsw will make it a tough conference. I'm hoping they play through Duncan come playoffs because the rock has to go inside first. Bring on the playoffs already!!!!

I'm kinda hoping the Spurs drop to 2nd and play Houston.

Even though they are dangerous, I think the Lakers or Dallas and even Utah are tougher.

Shattered they lost today, that could have really made up for the Miami game.

It doesnt matter either way. Manu hasnt been himself all year. Pop always says no manu no titles. Cant see anyone beating miami this year. The spurs were playing great this time last year, but not this year.

Yeah you're spot on Steve. Manu has been different. He has been playing a different role though. Time is catching up with him now. In saying that the Spurs have guys like Kawhi and Green that are doing his job now.

If he shoots well I think it'll be huge.

No other player on the spurs roster changes a game like manu, duncan included. He is what harden was to okc, He might just be past it. We hold on to some slim hope though!!!

Spurs are looking very shaky and banged up.

I like them staying in the 2nd spot.

From 1st you're most likely playing the Lakers (maybe Utah) and then winner of Memphis/Clips

I'd much rather the Spurs play Houston and then the winner of Denver/GS.

But see what happens. Spurs are either really flying under the radar this year or in a bit of trouble.

Parker is huge, if he's still banged up then a loss will be imminent.
