Steve come on!!!

Popovich himself said they would not have won in 03/05/07 without him. I think they're spot on in hanging his jersey. He was your typical selfless player. Guarded the best player on the opposing team and we're talking through the whole West and not just the finals.

I see that as a bit of recognition for all the players that don't rank well on paper, but make a big difference!

That guy that I "attacked" had Allen Iverson I believe as his profile name and an OKC pic as his avatar (totally fine by the way). But....Iverson was a freak but he was very selfish and a bit of a thug (definately no role model). Let's face it, have a look at where he is now (struggling). OKC (who I do rate highly because of their mix of amazing plays with tough defense) is his team by the looks (bandwagon) was he a Seattle fan???If so, fair play to him.

I just get annoyed with people that use the word boring with the Spurs. Alot of people find them exciting. I found the 04 Pistons VERY exciting and they played the same way. Tough Defense. So many "fans" out there don't understand that Defense has exactly the same importance as offense in basketball.

Did I say brutal, no I said you attacked someone over their knowledge. You seem to get upset at the fact people don't agree with your opinion so you tried to be little him... keyword being tried....

There is a LOT of basketball fans that rate the Spurs as a boring team, it's a general consensus amongst most NON Spurs fans.... But 99% of those people, like me, also acknowledge what they have done and the fact it has worked for them in every way possible.... I don't mind watching them at all, especially when they are playing top teams, like Miami and Chicago for example, 2 totally different styles of ball out on the court is great to watch......

Most fans understand that Defense is a massive part of the game, myself included, while the 90's Bulls teams had the offense there they had great defenders and role players too, just like the Spurs, exposing opposition on both ends of the floor. But most fans, other then watching there own teams play, prefer to watch basketball that is played at a fast pace and highly offensively orientated! So a team like the Spurs will get the boring label, no need to get annoyed over it, just look past it and enjoy your team for what it is, a great team.... Others opinions will always be there, some times a lot stronger then the one you have, it's a part of life.

Half heartedly agree! He did the job he was paid to do and did it well, but with the players around him he got a lot of help at both ends. Jersey retired though...? Can't comment on that as Im not a spurs or Bowen fan!

Ha ha, Oops, I was way off. Got totally the wrong guy. Sorry Iverson dude. Not sure how I came about that. Eddie House is a gun, I'd love to see him on the Spurs.

You gotta relax mate. Look at the time you've put in to argue over nothing. I don't find the Spurs boring, you do. Case solved.

The Bulls bar D. Rose and Taj are'nt very exciting themselves. Great team though and I hope they can beat the Heat.

That's exactly my point, your always going to have different opinions floating around, some stronger the others, no use getting annoyed over them! But debating them is great!

As for the Bulls, Watson, James, Noah and Boozer, the last 2 when they are up and going, can all be rather exciting, but agan, difference of opinion!

No no, you're right, all those guys are exciting to me too, they play the right way. Unfortunately for me I've got nothing to crap on the Bulls about coz I rate them highly. Clutching at straws and wish you were a Clippers bandwagon supporter now.

I know you got us mixed up and all, but some of that is still a go at me. Just because people go for a winning team doesn't make them a bandwagoner, does that mean that unless you were a Seattle fan that you're not allowed to be an OKC fan!? Not that it matters, but Seattle WAS my first NBA team because of Kemp, but when he left so did I.

As I have explained many times before I am a player follower, not a team follower, I follow the Thunder because of Westbrook (primarily) and Ibaka, although I really enjoy watching the whole team and have so even before I started following/collecting Westbrook.

I also follow Deron Williams, but I don't see anyone accusing me of bandwagoning on the Nets when I moved to them from Utah because of Deron; oh, guess that's cause they suck..... perhaps if they became good I would be accused of bandwagoning on them too!?

Yes, there are bandwagoners out there, but don't just assume someone is a bandwagoner because they follow a winning or "in" team.

I don't just "go" for a winning team. I've follwed the Spurs since I was 10 years old. 1993 when BBall got big. D. Rob stood out for me. There was some quality centers around and I chose him. Just a classy guy. Never changed teams (just like T.D now). That's what I love about team sports. Seeing the unselfish team guys hang around. That's why I hope Dwight will stay at Orlando and why I wanted Lebron to stay at cavs. Sports is'nt just about how you play. It's about the kind of person you are also. And that's why the Spurs have always been my team. Of course people follow players aswell. Deron is also a fav of mine. I have loads I like seeing do well.

Good to see the Spurs thread is alive and kicking and creating discussion. Can they get ring 5? Gee I hope so.

I hate bandwagon fans, no point going for a team if your just going to go to the teams with the best players! Like I'm looking forward to the Cavs rebuliding years (that sounds werid lol) but I'm looking forward to see the young players develop into great players. And the Spurs, behind all the old players, have a great core of young players like Green, Neal, Leonard, Blair!

The Cavs are gettin it goin nicely. A move and a shake here and there and they'll be back in the playoffs. Irving is a flat out gun.
