The Official NEW YORK KNICKS thread

A lot of talk around that the Knicks are trying to work a deal for Jarrod Dudley, possibly with Shumpert going the other way.

The Knicks have traded Camby, Novak and a first and second round pick to Toronto for Andrea Bargnani

“@stevenovak16: I want to thank Mr Dolan & Glen Grunwald for bringing me to NY 2 years ago. The entire Knicks org is 1st class and I will miss being a Knick”

“@stevenovak16: I wish all of my teammates and coaches the best of luck and thank them for 2 years that I will never forget.”

“@stevenovak16: Lastly, thank u to all of our fans and the people of NYC for embracing me the way that u did and always being good to my family.”

“@stevenovak16: Once a Knick, Always a Knick”

“@stevenovak16: Next stop...Toronto!”

Knicks have added Beno Udrih to a 1 year veteran minimum. So the team lineup looks like this,

Guards
Raymond Felton
Tim Hardaway Jr
Pablo Prigioni
JR Smith
Iman Shumpert

Forwards
Carmelo Anthony
CJ Leslie
Kenyon Martin
Metta World Peace
Andrea Bargnani
Amare Stoudemire

Centers
Earl Baron
Jeremy Tyler
Chandler Tyson

Baron is not under contract.... You also need to add Beno to the guards list as you have stated above with the signing. Knicks have one spot left which most likely is going to go to a camp invitee as Grunfeld has suggested. Though they could use it to sign a banger which they do need. This team is lining up nicely if they can stay healthy. THAT is a huge IF.....

Haven't posted in this thread all season, no surprise considering how shocking the team has been.

Big changes need to happen next year. We need to do as much as possible to keep Melo. JR Smith needs to go!! as does Felton. I've heard talk of Lin maybe coming back though not sure how Melo would feel about that.

This season for the Knicks has surprised me. They do not have a team that can advance deep in the playoffs, however, i thought they would be getting a playoff spot at least. Blow the team up including Carmelo; absolute rubbish chemistry even with him in the squad.

Why would Lin come back? haven;t heard any rumbles of being unhappy in Houston. So they don't re-sign him, force up the price, he signs somewhere else, then they sign him for the inflated price?

Of course they would, its the New York Knicks. The few things I've read haver been saying Lin is unhappy with not getting enough mins and the Rockets feel they just don't need him. Kinda like they've done with Asik

Jokim Noah comes off his worst 2 seasons in the NBA and the Knicks decide to offer him $18 million a season. 4 million more then he has been paid before.

It does sound a lot, but Bogut gets $12 mil right?
As long as he checks out with the physical I think the Knicks would be the perfect fit. They have all that offense, they'll need an unselfish guy.
Hell the Knicks are looking good again.

@Jaames didn't he come like 4th in the MVP race in like 2013 tho?

If the Knicks can get one more decent piece to join their lineup (KD? Na), I see them contending for 8th in the East...

And because I can; dibs on making an Atlanta Hawks thread ;)

Bogut has been on $12 or more since 11/12 season, and the $12 he is on next year is from a contract he signed at the start of the 14/15 season.

I like Noah and will be happy if the Knicks sign him, it will be nice to have a centre that can defend and actually rebound the ball. Was just pointing out how very Knicks it is to over pay for a guy that hasn't been in the best form.
