The Official LA LAKERS thread!!

Sounds good but i'll wait this the final buzzer before i call anything. 1 thing i can say is where has this energy and hustle been all series?

i guess they realized it's all on the line now. would have been better if they realized that last game but i'm all for a game 7!

Bynum helped the Lakers get out of the gate and is now getting some much needed rest. Only played 12 mins so Phil is obviously looking towards G7 if they can keep off a miraculous run by the Celts in the 4th.

Perk also left (forgot about that) so interesting to see what happens there. Big Baby is good in spurts but he's going to have a hard time against the length of the Lakers if Perk is on the shelf for the next game.

Wow did u guys see the Lakers bench turned up today (high 5 guys). I think it will be a low scoring slug fest friday. Lets hope the both teams can feild their best sides and may the best team win.

LA will have to start favourites. Perk might miss through injury and LA look like they have been drinking red bulls for the last few days.

Pierce's 5 turn overs really cost them.

If Perk is able to play without causing permanent damage I would expect him to. It's game 7, so if it's like an injury that if played on would set him back a little while in the off-season I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the floor.

If they won him playing would be a big storyline too for the last "epic" game.

Very fair call. Specifically, I have been critical of Fisher's ability to defend the quicker point guards in the league. I have never questioned his ability to come up big on the offensive end, but the reason we are generally in a hole is due to poor D down the other end!

I will gladly pat him on the back for his fantastic D on Ray Allen in game 3...his D, particularly off the ball, was inspirational. One swallow doesn't make a summer, but the Fisher/Allen Kobe/Rondo defensive set up seemed to work...well done Phil!

Hey sorry man, didn't mean to put you under the spotlight cause you're right for the most part, he struggles on Defense, look at how Westbrook run amok, he got himself in foul trouble today and went fishing (pun intended) but he seems to rise to the occaision once in every huge series when we need it and although it wasn't to be, we might have dropped that game without his plays down the stretch in that one. :v:

Huge game 7 on Friday!!! One shot at redemption and back 2 back!!! :woot:

Lakers vs Celtics, this is what it's all about! =D>

Shannon Brown's alley oop was pretty nice as well!!:kick::worthy:

I think my Farmar PC doubled in value after those lose ball dives and that throwdown on KG!

But yeah, that alley to Brown was just jaw dropping... :kick:

Solid input from the bench with all starters and roll players contributing. That's the Laker team we expect to see every game.

And good call, friday should be very scrappy, very physical hard nose basketball. Gonna be HUGE! :)

kobe has some help! about time! artest and odom played nicely, everyone was all over the court and rebounding and closing out on defence wins games!!!!
game 7 will be tight and perkins not being in the line up could hurt the celts, especially if wallace, the drooler and kg get in foul trouble...too close to call and im not 100% confident in the lakers winning (but quietly confident...lol)

wow, I'm just finishing watching the game, that was brutal to watch, all credit to the Lakers for this game, better offense, better D, Artest showed up, clearly weren't gonna give up easy. Looking forward to a Game 7 battle for the ages.

All good *OZ, I have been on Fisher's case for the last couple of years (even prior to his move to Utah), so I should also give credit where credit is due.

For those with a knowledge of Laker history, the next game is massive. The C's have a history of breaking our hearts in game 7s...this one game won't make up for any of the previous crushing losses in the finals, but it won't add to it more importantly.

I can't remember ever feeling so nervous, so excited, about an NBA game before.

Bring on tomorrow...

Forgot to add that it is terrible news about Perkins not playing. Sad for the guy to miss a g7 like that, and we don't want the C's to throw up any excuses...would love to see both teams at full strength for this one.

No doubt about it, haven't been this hyped about a Finals game since the conf finals where the Kings pushed us to 7. The anticipation is killing me and I'm gonna need sedatives to sleep tonight (jk)! #-o

Huge game coming up, all or nothing, tomorrow we'll either be celebrating or absoloutely shattered. Just fitting it will end in a game 7 and we definitely don't wanna add to those game 7 upsets cause that'll be exactly what it is if we don't defend home court, an absoloute upset. No favorites here, you can't underestimate that team and at the same time you'd be a fool to simply write us off thinking we haven't evolved since the 08 series. The biggest key is home court and the home crowd, they need to come loud tomorrow like they did yesterday and scream those fools out the building.

You think it'd be too much to watch game 6 of the 2008 series tonight? On one hand I don't think I could handle a loss tomorrow if I torture myself like that, on the other, a win tomorrow couldn't be any more enjoyable if I made myself sit through it. ;)

Hopefully the fellas have that loss fresh in their minds still...

One game I would never watch again...but that's just me I guess...[-X

Stoked with the Lakers win in G6 to push this one to 7 :) 47-0 with Phil Jackson teams who have won game one of a series...man, I really want that streak to be intact! Put your game face on, it's game time!

Bring it home baby, come on Lakers! Need to hit their damn free throws! Every single damn point counts!

Kobe with the jumper!!! Lakers up by 4!!! Don't choke, don't choke, don't choke...

WOW! Rondo a triple when down by 5 and 16 seconds left?!? Who'd a thunk it! I thought it was wrapped up for the Lakers!
