The official have a whinge about postage thread!

Wouldn't you rather sell the item for $3-4 and accept the $2.50 postage fee, isn't that considerable?
I list plenty of auctions at 0.99c aswell, but they always go over because people notice the $2.00 shipping fee recently updated.
I might go back up to $2.50 considering i am going to start selling most of my cards in top loaders and bubble wrap.

I charge $2.50 only... And I still would... I was just saying that $3.00 is not a bad postage for 1 card...

This is the right postage price for a single card in toploader and bubble mailer for ebay transactions...

I used to charge $2.00 but when I started putting on my ebay description that "if paying by paypal pls add 50 cents", then I got a warning from ebay saying that I cant charge extra for paypal. Then I argue with them and ebay suggested that I add to the postage itself. So thats when I started the $2.50 postage.;) But now, I thnk $3.00 is easy to justify.

Get This...

(I miss the heated discussions.....  )

Too arsed to use the search function, I thought we had a sticky for *****ing about postage??

It's not ALL about postage, just the seller more so.

I wins a card for $6.50 (Auto #/30), and gets the invoice, and pays it.

Now 6 days after payment, I get a message saying I've only paid enough ($4.95) for postage for Money Order payments...

I need to send them an extra $5 for Tracking, blah blah blah... for PayPal payments as they need a tracking # for PayPal Claims against them.

I didnt realise, but I'd actually bin and won another card from the same mob, just a day or 2 ago. Paid for and all ($14 postage too!).

I wrote back saying if they havent posted it yet (2nd card), to put the two together. And if they had, just to refund my payment, I wasnt gonna bother with $14 postage on a $6 card.

After checking my emails, I noticed the Invoice I recieved, was in fact, $4.95 postage, NOT the $14 they so request....

Wrote back telling them to pull their heads in, and get their Invoicing System worked out.

Fair dinkum, $14 postage for a 6 buck card..... :worthy:

I don't - makes people actually think about something decent to post instead of whining and moaning all the time. Doesn't stop some people though ...

It's not a sticky for the very reason we got rid of the heated discussions.

I've moved your post this time to the right thread, but next time you "can't be arsed" i'll just delete your post.

Quiet day in the office for ya huh G?
Got a bit of time on your hands I see... ;)

Thanks for moving.

I thought it was a sticky, I was wrong. Cheers.

Quick update.

Checked my emails this morning, and they've replied, apologising for the Checkout error, and have upgraded the postage to express and are sending the card out.

I would have been happy to have my payment refunded, but now I am really appreciative!

i get screwed on all my postage for pippens. when i was buying cards when the conversion was 54c id be paying 10 postage for $3-4 cards. i recently got a pippen from a guy who charged me $3.50 US postage and when i got the card it WASNT in a top loader and all he did was wrap it in newspaper, wrote my address on white piece of paper and shipped it off....fuming!!!

What about the postage cost for hats!

Damn it hurts spending $25 US on shipping a $25 hat!

yeah that ****s me too when you can get a pair of shoes shipped for cheaper than that

certain NBA/NFL jersey sellers like to overcharge for shipping as well

i paid $54 shipping for 3 jerseys (1 each NBA/NFL/NHL) and it came bundled in a tough bag with an $18 sticker on it:mad:

How'd u guess???

At least they've come up and said they'd upgrade my shipping for free. That's a bonus.

I can understand where they're coming from and all, but after getting the Invoice for one amount, and paying it, then another email saying I didnt pay enough....

Doesnt it ever!

I paid $27 for a Jersey once, then bought another and they (two different people) wanted to charge me $45 for shipping!!!!

Got them down to $24 in a Global Priority box!

Whilst we're on topic about postage costs, I emailed a noobie seller last night asking why standard shipping for a $10 card was $20US to Australia.... Got an email this morning saying they'd altered it...

It's now listed as $5..... =D>

I got charged $10 for shipping on two cards, the seller claimed he would send via registered/insured hence the high shipping charges. Both cards came in the same bubble mailer, with a $2.20 stamp on it and not registered/insured. I'm going to leave a negative if he doesn't give a refund for the difference, I've had enough of these people charging excessive fees.

Bought a card off ebay was an Aussie seller who charged $5USD for postage from VIC to TAS.

Prior to payment, I emailed to confrim that the $5 was correct (it was listed on ebay.com and was classed as Standard Intl Shipping).

Card arrived with $1.10 stamp in an $.80c envelope.

Neg will be issued, the guy's new, and also a member here. Shouldnt be ripping people off like this.

Thought about approaching him before the neg is issued Scotty? If he is new, maybe he thinks it is "just the done thing".....

It was stated clearly in the auction, neg for that makes you a ****en moron [-X

A neg is a little extreme for an extra $3. Try sorting it out first, if all then fails, well then do what you gotta!
