The Official 2012-13 EPL Thread

News is that Ashley cole is out of contract at the end of this season. Apparently fergie wants him at united.
I think he'll be on the move. Chelsea only offer players over 30 one year contracts, he wants longer. Not sure if that applies to Terry and Fat Frank as well, I guess it does though. He's still a great left back so will be a good on-field pick up for whoever gets him.

terry to valencia could be happeining aswell. and lamps isnt even a regular starter anymore. this has been a couple of years coming. a changing of the guard...

Fair game at the Madejski this morning :kick:
4-0 at halftime, think Jenkinson was awarded the goal at 4-4 in Fergie time. Finished 7-5, what a cracker. Theo with a hat-trick, Chamakh with a brace. Crazy, crazy game.

saw this today and was sent through a time warp.

Fergie blames Nani?!

a little harsh maybe? especially when it was wootton that gave away the penalty and lost the ball for the 4th goal. nani wouldve had the winning goal if not for woottons penalty. sounds like fergies just looking for an excuse to get serious about ditching him...?
games arent won in a single possesion...

quality 1-1 result this morning liverpool with the majority of possession but still with 20 shots struggle to score both quality goals first cabaye's volley then some suarez class

happy with a point at anfield

TOON TOON

santos in trouble for swapping shirts with RVP at half-time. mainly with the fans, but even wenger says it was inappropriate.
id be more concerned with the way he played...
and wenger admits theyre not really title challengers. i find it hard to see them as anything but a feeder club now, with their policies on buying and wages. still top 4 i think, but other teams will slowly leave them for dead without a real change at the board level.

Fair call. I don't really look into what the board are doing, and for the most part I'm not going to try and pretend I understand how they operate. But $ wise we cannot compete with the top 3. There is supposed to be $100,000,000 in the bank for Wenger to spend, but I can't believe he wouldn't of signed more quality if he could.

Couldn't believe Santos, but it was bad enough before the kickoff, with players hugging RVP and having a laugh with him. Should've waited until fulltime. Ramsey was the only player left in the first team since last years game at OT, so I think this team will be ok for top 4 again. Will be a fair way behind the top 3 though I think.

/\/\ its a mix of the board and wenger i think. even if he could go and spend $100mill next season, i doubt he would. he likes to bring in bargain quality and unproven talent.
if they just reworked the wage structure they got, they wouldnt even have to spend big $$$ in the transfer market. wenger is more than good enough at bringing in and forming great players for cheap. but if they dont start to pay them at least closer to what the big clubs do, theyre always gonna leave.
i got a lot of respect for him tho. he keeps the team up there at a pittance compared to the rest of them. never been outside the top 4 while the likes of the mancs and chelski spend hundreds of millions of pounds to maintain their positions. still my favorite manager in the epl.

I can't get my head around City in the UCL, they seem to start each game so sleepily and then play with desperation and vigour! Drives me nuts!!! Our luck evened up as well. We were lucky with a last minute pen vs Dortmund, unlucky today with an iffy offside for what looked like a legit goal...and a solid penalty claim in the last minute...

Thems the breaks...

Looks like a great escape for Man U this morning after Braga turned out the lights.

Whats the bet we see "asian betting syndicate" come up sometime in the next day or so.
