The official 2011-12 OKC Thunder thread!

S...O.....B!!!

 Had a decent bet on them to top up my sportsbet account... That failed badly! Lucky the Bulls came through winning by -10!!

A young team is ALWAYS going to go through ups and downs, they will drop occasional games where they should win them, maturity as a team will come sooner rather then later. Also when 2 of your 3 main scorers have off nights, something has to give!

i didnt see yesterdays game v dallas.

about to watch my boy make a start in place of the injured thabo. cook also questionable, so he may not get as many minutes as he usually does..

POST GAME THOUGHTS.

[hide]harden played well for OKC in his first start this season as they went down to portland by 10, scoring 23.
i feel they were just frustrated by portland as they made a few clutch shots at key times.
batum hit a couple of 3's at bad times. we led till about 1/2 time, then portland took over.
aldridge had 30.

westy and durant struggled a little with the shot.

few days off beofre a home game v rockets. should come back nicely after 2 days off.

[/hide]

I actually thought Russ shot reasonably well that game; KD on the other hand.... ouch! :(

tough game against the spurs today.

gunah be difficult to adapt with the loss of eric maynor for the season :(
reggie jackson will get a lot of minutes for the next few weeks.
i think they might try and pick up a PG off waivers.
i also think that harden will play a bit of PG too.

on a side note, james harden takes the NBAs current active longest free throw made streak into the game with 42 i believe.

That's for this season only right?

Also Reggie Jackson just seems like another Westbrook, Maynor was really there to calm everything down and he'll be missed a lot :(

current longest active streak..

the longest ever streak was michael williams with 97, he played for the t-wolves in the 90's.

I didn't find out about the Maynor thing until the game against the Spurs today as I didn't watch the last game against the Hornets........ massive loss, damn! :(

As for Jackson....... he sure jacks up a lot of threes, he's got some skills but he really doesn't know how to pass much. I hope we get another PG from somewhere.

Reckon it's possible to maintain the current team and still remain under the salary cap? Or are we over already in the future, with Westbrook's extension?

nah, there will be ehough for harden and ibaka next year, then just role players, ala the heat to make up the rest.
once they start making the playoffs every year, some of the better vets will start looking to come to OKC to win a cçhip.

Wow that's awesome! Really love the management at OKC! :hearts:

I actually don't mind the vets on the team at the moment. Nick Collison and Nazr have both been quite impressive this season.

yes kudos to the management. they've been making the right moves for a small market team, and they've kept their superstars locked in for the next 5 years! not forgetting the fact that the trade for Perkins was a great move on their part too.

Seems we like losing to sh*tty teams! :)

In other news....... Serge Ibaka just had his 2nd 10 block game of the season! :worthy:

I thought I better post being the only other okc fan. Lol..

Ive watched the last few games against the lakers, heat and Portland, and it's all really coming together..
Stars are starring and all the role players are doing very well.

The additIon of fisher really helps depth wise and will help a lot come playoffs.
We should make the finals this year, can't see anyone beating us over 7 games..

And he good is harden playing off the bench.
#1 in bench scoring
#1 in 4th quarter minutes
#2 at getting to the foul line in crunch time after lebron
