North Island mate. Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo and places around there and in between.

Where abouts did you go when you went over there ?

nice! aukland, rotarua, bay of islands! amazing place! rotarua was may fave though, despite the smell! white water rafting was nuts and the hotel was gorgeous!

Did you get to Waimangu or Hell's Gate ? Hell's Gate was pretty good for Geothermal action, but Waimangu was just simply awesome. We also got to see Huka Falls and just random hot water creeks etc near Taupo.

Rotorua - the smell - how can you describe it ? Mix between farts and rotten eggs! But a nice place and we ended up spending a few days/nights there.

The last few days were a bit screwy as it started raining, but we still had lots of fun!

We were there just as the same time as their biggest public holiday, i think it was called wontagi weekend? not sure, but had heaps of cultural stuff happening, including a hukka perfomance at the hotel. the geo thermals were unbelievable, the baths were hot as! the smell makes you think twice about taking a dip lol

Put a shirt on....haah....nice one mate! Chaz and I jumped of the sky tower when we were in auckland. Not quite the same but still a rush!!
