Oh mate, there are too many edits for me to keep up with! It's like a dodgy Wikipedia entry!! :-)

An extraodinary start to the Test, surely the series is done and dusted now. Sadly, some very successful careers will be bought to and end when this series concludes. Selectors will indulge in a bit of self-preservation "it's not our fault" stuff, like Andrew Hilditch did after the 2010/11 home Ashes series.
 
I've said for years the bowlers have covered for us.

Got wickets and scored valuable runs.

All over now though. All out before lunch on Day 1.

Watch the pitch magically die on us now.

LOL. I don't like to really bag out teams but 60 on the board and 8 to Broad...Aussies may as well get bar jobs in London and never come home.

I was also aiming at the English team / ground staff for preparing a wicket like that. Should not come down to winning the toss and having to face a green top.

England are half a chance to do the same thing and be rolled for under 100.

We want a five day test match, not another one over in two and a half days! This is the ashes not T20....
 
It did seem a little greener than I would have imagined is normal for a Test pitch.

Brought back the memories of when Hadlee was taking buckets of wickets for Nottinghamshire in the 1980s.
 
I can remember Dad telling me crazy true stories of district cricket games where "extras top scored". You sometimes see it when reading under-age cricket scores. Today, remarkably, extras top scored. With 14.

The most disappointing thing about the performance this evening is that a team of professional sportsmen will be reduced to a mere object of humiliation and derision.
 
Scary thing is I have sat in my study listening to our collapse.... and all I keep hearing is thick edges !!.. had to get up when I heard a funny noise and that was when Nevill's stump when flying.... :cry:

If there is an issue in the Aussie camp, it must be quite a terrible one because that was disgusting from men on a million bucks a year representing the best that Australia has to offer cricket.
