I think amare will actually hurt the suns if he comes back...like Pat Ewing with the knicks...

Amare is actually one of the worst defenders Ive seen, bill walton points out nearly every posession how terrible Amare is...

Im yet to see Boris Diaw or James Jones actually make baskets in the playoffs, so until they do, the suns are still nash, marion and amare..and the spurs can sruvive that and win 4-1 like last year

true ... amare doesn't play d at all.. he dunks.. he shoots.. he scores... his rebounding numbers are pretty low for a man that dominant.. he can swat.. but thats not playing hard nose d that his team needs.. if the suns are shut down again by the spurs, they need to match the d.. i think amare will hurt alot more like c webber than ewing.. and trey you pointed out the teams a nash/marion/amare team in the playoffs.. but u didnt mention marions decline past the 2nd round.. or playoffs in general

marion only dissapeared because he had to guard duncan, a 6'7 forward guarding a 7'0 forward, doesn't exactly help, this season it'll be kurt thomas or amare guarding though.

amare also hasn't played this season yet, so it's yet to see how he'll apply himself on defense, but 9 rebounds per game isn't too bad, dirk gets about that amount too and he's another 7'0 footer.

i know in the past his defense is fairly rubbish (altho he rebounds above average) but we haven't seen him yet this season.
