My interpretation is he means learnt from the US sports markets, where numbered cards have become the norm and are next to worthless. Take 18/19 National Treasures for example, boxes around $900usd 100 base cards /99 and can be found for $1-5 for the majority of cards. Even Giannis the MVP can be bought for $10-12
I agree the limited supply (there are multiple similar releases in US sports) will help but realistically it's also a much more limited (smaller) market
Cant see the commons being worth all that much unless a high profile player from a high profile team. Would be expecting to pick up the average common for $5 to $10. Perhaps your Tom' Mitchell's, Patrick Cripps, Pendlebury's etc might fetch around the $50 mark initially.
I think it is comparable (to a point) - whilst market hasn't been flooded, end of the day they are just a base card. Also the market in the us is so much bigger.
Look at the certified autos - can pick them up now for $20-30 and for what I would say are well known players> yes they are /400 but they are also autos.

So is anyone here going to buy themselves a box? I know it's a lot of money and some might not be able to justify it but curious to see who else is buying any. I'd love to see some breaks in the box break section.
Hearing what one card I will be chasing may be, I'm either going to have to buy a box and hit it or something of similar or higher value, or pay more than a box for just that one.

Totally agree, before any money is handed over I am going to want to see a checklist. Lets hope a checklist is released earlier than the night before the release date.
New preview, Norm Smith Medalist inserts numbered /65. A great idea but strange to have a medal card without an actual picture of the medal itself on the card.
