Sad thing is we are just assuming Select will try and do all clubs, they might not even be thinking that and have no intention of trying to cover them all.
As long as the popular clubs are covered, that's all they need to worry about. If they average 350 per round at $14.99 each that's an additional $120,000 in revenue each year not including the finals (less costs and licencing).
It would actually be in their interests to have a popular team have a "hilite" each week.
Why sell 288 Mundy cards when you can sell 416 Pendlebury cards?
That's nearly a $2K difference?
Yep totally agree. Unfortunately it's always about money when it comes to Select. I get the fact they have to make money to stay in business, but it very rarely seems to be for the collector.
Look at what Topps do, they have multiple cards each day for baseball highlights etc, even multiple from the same game?.....sure there are more games being played but you could have 3-4 cards of each round instead of 1........broaden your ability to sell to collectors across a lot of teams. Print them up at once and ship them all out at the same time.
Here is a question, what happens when we have a weekend where 2 players have huge games....say one player kicks 12 goals and one has 55 possessions and stars in the win?
Who do they choose?
As per current, one will miss out?
Dangerfield is out of 388.

Don't know if the time of order affects numbering, i ordered 2 dangerfields right on release and got one in the 40's and one on the high 200'sI had been trying to order mine as soon as I possibly could to try for low numbers, and had been going pretty well. But I got busy at work and ordered mine about 40mins after release and only got 203.
