I don't mind two releases a year, retail & hobby, what I do not get is why in a Champions release we have so many inserts:

196 Silver
59 Rookies
18 Stardom Gems
15 Rookie Sensations
8 Star Signatures

To start with 18 Stardom Gems....wtf? Can't someone count

59 Rookies....c'mon who the hell are half of these nuffies anyway......Luke Kelly made his debut in 2009 for a start / Mitch Rivett 2 games on the wing for an injury depleted Broncos..... for my mind these examples don't warrant a Rookie card

I have a bit of rain man in me as I like the previous, nice even Champions ratio's of 3 per team / 2 per team / 1 per team and obviously woukld like to see a bit of imagination and variety go into these insert sets.

Anyway I will collect it again, well I should sayI'll collect half of it as I can't ever seem to muster the enthusiasm to hunt through ebay to buy 300 odd inserts.....

I'm all for larger / more inserts in the Series II but the champions is getting boring to collect and $$$$$ to finish for what it is.

Haven't had a Knights sig of a player who has played a single game of first grade at time of release since 2009, so to say I wouldn't mind a Knights one is an understatement.

I think the Knights have done ok

Besides top prospects, Newcastle has had one signature card since 2006. Agreed that prior to that, things were pretty sweet!
Now they're almost as bad as being a Sharks supporter.

It would be highly stupid of Select if they continue the Star Sigs and use teams that had a sig in the 2011 set.

Surely they would use the remaining 8 teams, and make it a 16 team set.

Key words in that sentence - "Highly Stupid" & "Select"

Yeah it does make sense however i cant see it happening. Warriors star sigs wont sell in Sydney.
