Yes thats right mateIs this why the cards featured sketches as opposed to actual images from games? I would imagine any images from games are owned elsewhere and thus would bring licensing issues. For a sketch just the players consent would be fine I would imagine.
So how come they are $250 for a home made card apart from them being signed by those players ?
I'm a bit confused.
That's correct so I will rephrase these are the lowest single signature card produced unless there is something else I don't know aboutWasn't the canberra quad /20
There was no due reference made about you guys, i was just simplyfing the facts as to how you can make such a product without any licence. I enjoy what you guys have done and i admire your concept and business nous. One thing we just want to clarify is that these aren't home made cards. Far from it.
Just like most other card producers, these were printed, foiled and cut at a print production facility here in Australia.
While we may be biased, we think that print quality of these cards is outstanding.
We hope that the lucky collectors that have these cards turn up on Monday agree with us.
Regal Trading Cards - For the Collector.
So may i ask, who is the sketch artist as it does not appear on the cards, nor is there any due reference to the artist. One thing we just want to clarify is that these aren't home made cards. Far from it.

Ok maybe home made is the wrong terminology and yes they do look great. One thing we just want to clarify is that these aren't home made cards. Far from it.

From a business perspective, you would afford the artist a credit. HmmmmmI don't think they need to disclose their artists. From a business perspective, why would they make public something that gives them a clear advantage in the marketplace.
I mean, the colonel never told the world what the secret herbs and spices were in his chicken and look where that got him.
From a business perspective, you would afford the artist a credit. Hmmmmm
And the great Colonel Sanders is the only 1 that creates the spices here and now? Sorry to disappoint you but he left this planet many years ago!
Most 'sketch' cards have a sig for a reason!
I am not assuming anything, it was a simple question?
They don't count...Wasn't the canberra quad /20
LolThey don't count...
I'd rather collect milk cartons than that garbage...
if i buy an original photo, say of Satts, then i can use that how i want, such as, making a card, get it reproduced at however many i want, get them signed. Hey presto, i have a product that i can sell at whatever price i want.
The sketch would belong to either them or someone they know, maybe a 14 year old
Once i saw the 'sketch' card, that threw me off immediately as many people, even my 14 year old could have sketched such a drawing
Yes thats right mate
The sketch would belong to either them or someone they know, maybe a 14 year old, so for instance, if i buy an original photo, say of Satts, then i can use that how i want, such as, making a card, get it reproduced at however many i want, get them signed. Hey presto, i have a product that i can sell at whatever price i want. As you would notice, there is no reference as to whom produced the actual sketch.
They are all one of the same. They have been making cards for years now. He has just gone out on his own.Has nothing to do with ESP, using playing images brings more fees- pay for the image, sponsor clearance etc, etc...
Another reason they'd be sketching them is there would be no decent images from back in the day, and again... They pay the artist a one off fee and they're done!!
I'm wondering why apcs hasn't blown up yet - they're basically exactly the same thing except the apcs cards look like they've been done at play group with a few kids and crayons.
