Regal Trading Cards Signing Information

I dare say [could be wrong] there where more than 25 of these printed as he has noted in previous postings. He could release unsigned ones of these or unnumbered ones. this is my thoughts only but what else is he going to do with any spares if there are spares. The only reason why I say this is it would have cost a bit to print just 25 and why would you have payed through the nose for that amount when it would cost the same for more. I commend him for only release 25 as they will hold there value by not flooding the market. They where a good purchase

They where sent out as platinum Australia post. I not sure what that is but would have cost extra and guessing they will be personally delivered. Here we are

Normal post is being delivered today also, not just parcels.

Not in my area I live up the road from guys who deliver the mail and parcels they are not working

They would have been stupid to only produce 25. There could have been a poor signature that needed another done, or damage could occur in the mail etc. You would think after a few months the spares would get destroyed.

Either way, to have any form of legitimacy to their business, there is no way the spares will be released. The short term financial gain would no way be worth the loss of future sales from pissed off punters.

I agree this is what i was a bit fearful of given the original secrecy around the numbers being issued. Hopefully there won't be any extras issued into the market even if they are unnumbered as that will lose total credibility with me and I wouldn't be buying again.but for now I am happy with the purchases

Regal has been open as much as we can here on Ozcardtrader.com.au regarding all of the information we can share. We pride ourselves on being one of the only manufacturers who is active on this website (and others) along with our Facebook page where we can engage with our customers.

We were bombarded by a lot of buyers asking which number they were receiving within minutes of orders being placed. Footycards.com.au have sent out these orders out on our behalf and these should arrive on Monday.

In relation to the numbering it is as exactly how we have said it would be.

We have 25 serially numbered cards available for sale (as per the image below card #25/25) for each player and they signed them as is.

This image has been on the footycards.com.au website ever since the cards went on sale.

These cards are premium quality cards and yes they did take a lot of time and effort to manufacture.

Regal made a decision that if we were going to release these cards, we would make sure the quality is something that collectors will appreciate.

To all those collectors that have purchased the cards, we thank you for supporting us.

Like you, we are collectors too so we cant wait to see you all get your cards next week.

They should not release anymore signed ones I was talking about the unsigned spares. Just like esp and a few others have done released signed limited numbered cards then like a unsigned card of the same

I have to stick my big nose into this thread and i agree with everything that moz,thegamerugbyleague, has said so far.
On a personal opinion, the cards do look great, and i totally love the fact there is competition in the market, which is what industry is all about. Once i saw the 'sketch' card, that threw me off immediately as many people, even my 14 year old could have sketched such a drawing, but that is just my opinion. Personally i would have put an action photo on the card.
At the moment i do hold Regal cards in high esteem as i believe they have started something that can prosper over many players and interests/sports, which is good for the hobby.
The price was rather steep IMO but each to their own. At least they kept it to 25 as i would have gone 50-100.
I am well aware of the costs to produce this type of card, as i have done my own numbers.

I am sure they would have a bulk load of un-numbered, un-signed cards, as any manufacturer would and has done previously. Should they release such other cards, i would say, why not, they are a new player on the market so why not show what you are all about.

At least we have a potential new manufacturer of quality cards that provides competition and i would like to see the next lot as i believe they have a great market to source and rely on.

And just a footnote, to be honest, at least they gave ozcardtrader enthusiasts 1st hand knowledge of what was coming onto the market, which must say alot for this site. They could have easily just gone to facebook,ebay,etc, which would have had the cards sold out b4 others here may have known about them.

No mate, and there is no need for them to be licenced to produce what they are.

The facts are, that they are not current players nor under any agreement with any licenced product.

So yes, you are basically paying $249.00 for a signed home made card.

We could all do the same if you made up your own cards and paid the signee a figure to sign, albeit that they are not under contract to any company that may request or demand a signing of a product that would infringe on any agreement in place.

Has nothing to do with ESP, using playing images brings more fees- pay for the image, sponsor clearance etc, etc...
Another reason they'd be sketching them is there would be no decent images from back in the day, and again... They pay the artist a one off fee and they're done!!
I'm wondering why apcs hasn't blown up yet - they're basically exactly the same thing except the apcs cards look like they've been done at play group with a few kids and crayons.
