David from Footycards.com.au he came and did shows with sonny remember him Mischa ?Welcome Regal. I'm interested and intrigued. Who is behind the mysterious Regal and what is it's vision? Where do you see Regal sitting in the card collecting market? Who will be "certifying" these signature cards? Lastly, I'm a facebook hater so if you could also place Regal happenings on this site it would be much appreciated.
Lucky i invested in the southsAny way you look at it and whatever explanation or mitigation you may put forward, this is a very poor result for the buyer / collector.
Just seen this photo oh my god refund with a bonus !Received my cards and generally speaking i think regal have done a great job but there is one exception that I think may only effect my card based on what i have seen but would like to hear more experienced collectors thoughts on this if in my situation what they would do and also give regal a chance to provide an explanation.
It appears as if the card was first signed with a pen then signed with a marker over the top which is disappointing given this is supposed to be a premium card and didn't come cheaply. If you look in the loop of the G in graeme, also a bit on top of the rae and possibly between the g and the l in langlands.
If he had signed in pen first you will be able to tell clearly that the pen line will be a deeper gauge in the card. I have had and still got cards signed like that from players and you can tell the pen is signed deeper into the card. It does not look like a good sig, on the other hand it is an original. Not to sure if I would like it myself though. Thanks for the advice so far guys, still happy to hear from others though I'm not a huge sig collector like many of you on here. i will contact footycards and see what they can do about it. I don't necessarily think it's traced as such almost looks like he signed it with a pen first to see it would fit (especially given what regal has said that he had some issues with spacing) then signed over it (rather then traced) with the marker, granted there are some wobbles but i figure that is down to age as most seem to have this, but when looking at the card in person those markings in the first name seem to be a different texture/ colour more consistent with a pen then a marker compared with the rest of the sig. Hopefully no one else has received a similar problem.
I don't think they are foiled stamped are theyI think for the price of these cards purchasers are entitled to a good quality signature regardless of age/health or anything else. Would it have been that hard to sign a larger number of cards, destroy any poor quality signatures and then foil stamp the number onto the remaining 25 cards?
Would it be acceptable for Richard to put his card on ebay and use the image provided by Regal? I don't think so.
Will come down to who pays the legend more, no? Is that what you're saying?I actually think its no good for company like esp and others that have the license to sell NRL Products because when these players get ask to sign there products they tell them go and jump because Regal pay us this much dollars ???? Which it will make Esp's job harder to get legends to sign
Correct or not correct ??????

I thought ESP made it clear in their Q&A here that they only plan on releasing 2 legends signatures a year? That's what they have told me previously?
Also players like Wally, Lockyer, Raper, Fulton, Johns etc all know what they can charge for their signature and ESP knows this. What if for example ESP goes to them and says ill only pay you $5 for a signature and they know they can charge $50 per signature? Do you think they would want to sign?
And for what its worth.....I know this has happened.
No doubt, and that is what I was alluding to. How many more "legends" apart from the regulars (Immortals and Immortals in waiting) would be massive signature card attractions?
We've been through this before on these pages, nostalgia signatures can cover a very broad spectrum of names.
Totally agree... the thing I hate the most is that there is an exclusive licence. That would drive competition and innovation.
Imagine if you had Select/ESP/Regal whoever making cards for us to collect?
Would be great!
