PS3 NBA2K13 Online Association

1st Game of the season complete. Love my young team, will be even better when i get my starting C back.

Beast Davis started the season rock solid with a 12 point, 12 rebound game. Rebounds maybe inflated due to DJ being on hiatus

Rose's season debut was a 29 point 10 assist effort. My rookie finished with 5 points, 3 boards and 1 assist. I looked at his hot spots in practice and the entire court is blue :(

So I won my first game against the Miami Heat controlled by CPU. Final score was 60-57. Gameplay is very different.

Incredibly hard to drive in the lane, probably even a little unrealistic. Also the dribble moves I don't like. In 2K11 you could perfectly control them. In this game it seems that if you just try and do a simple crossover your player does a combination of at least 3 moves. Not the best for control.

Apart from that it's pretty sweet and the graphics definitely look better. DH12 was my only consistent guy, going for 21 points, 13 boards, 2 blocks and 2 steals on 9/19 shooting. Ray Allen chipped in with 11-5-5 but didn't hit much after a pair of treys in the first. Deron Williams had 13 points only and shot pretty poorly.

Had a massive spark when I subbed Jamario Moon on for Gerald Wallace (was 1/8 in the first half, finished with 6 points and 7 boards) in the 3rd and he went on to score 9 quick points. He had a steal and breakaway tomahawk jam, another dunk on the break and then two pull-ups in transition (one of which was a triple).

Hopefully I improve as I get to know the game a bit better. That was my first association game of 2K12.

Orlando kicked off their 2nd campaign with an away game to Lebron James and the Memphis Grizzlies
Game 1 - Memphis Grizzlies
Was pretty close game for 3 quaters with all the Orlando shooters struggling for form
But managed to eek out a 7 point victory

Bright point was Curry, Ibaka and the new Kidd in town Lee Beasley who looks a lot like he has been modeled from OJ Mayo
Little bit of training and he will be tops

Game 2 - Charlotte Bobcats

Game 2 against the bobcats started in the usual fashion with them scoring at will and me contemplating throwing the controller across the room managed to get it back to 40 - 40 at half time thanks to Crawford and Granger long bombs wasn't to be though 2 k disconnected and wound up with sim loss..

Game 3 - Spurs

well after starting with games against LBJ and Kobe who better than Melo to host for game 3
Again shooters struggled big time but defense kept me in the game, 4th qtr turned into a head bobba

With 8 seconds left in the qtr Melo gets free and drains a long 2 to go up by one
A little bit of Curry magic and he closes the game out with a buzzer beater 2

Despite struggling with my shot from mid range team is looking very nice

Ibaka and Gasol are beasting on the boards
Lee Beasley definently has game at SG
Granger and Curry are struggling with the mid range game so far but it'll come back :)

Crawford / Kirilenko and West also deserving of an honorable mention

Team got a bump in the overall rankings too now @

Defense Ranked 5
Offense Ranked 5
Overall Ranked 3

How is AC as a baller..? Comparison.?

About to go into my first game. From the stats and info he looks like Rose - 6-3, athletic finishes strong at the rim. Actually has an action like him as well

Though in saying that Lee Beasley looks the goods, as mentioned Comparison would be OJ Mayo

Well I got the real deal

Headed to the Toyota Center to face the Rockets for first game and still the same old story - no D down low, and leaving shooters open. 72-60 loss

McGee showed why he's no.1. Shocked when I saw he had 19 at the half, but only ended up 26 pts 9-19 shooting (not the best)
Good thing was he draws fouls. Midrange game is awesome, and finishes well at the rim.

Unfortunately he was the only contributor - Mayo had 11 and Nowitzki 9. Big training sesh coming before the home opener against Toronto.

Damn, just realised I had a sim loss last night

I've got Swish_130 begging me for inclusion in this league and saying he will be very active?!?

Yeah Swish was begging me too yesterday Michael!

As for playing...I think I have 3 games in quick succession...and I don't think I can play any of them...I'll see...

well it was a tough start playing the nets , durant has stepped up his game after sending him to boot camp and seemed to be everywhere , got a stack of pg so blake has to go , gonna use fyre as my back up center and it seemed to work my rookie bevin weber has potential to take over as the main PG very soon , only a little guy but can he throw it down and moves pretty good , ended up winning my first game by 2 points over the nets with plenty of improvements to be made ,

How is everyone's 2nd campaign looking
Is it just me or does the CPU seem a little tougher

They do seem tougher...which is good IMO :)

Just finished my 1st game, playing Melo and the Spurs. Took it by 5. Cousins POG with 13/9/5 a block and a steal. Gay had 15/5/5 a steal and 2 blocks. Green 13/3 a steal and 4 blocks. Thornton in his debut scored 16. Only 3 turnovers for the game was the winner, the Spurs had 10. They out rebounded me 41-30 but I had 6 steals to 3 and 9 blocks to 3. Team felt good...but don't like that my rookie doesn't get any court time behind Thornton and Young...way to fill his position in FA Ben...

Had Phoenix 1st up. Amare, Rubio, Rashard Lewis, Kaman and Wes Johnson. Think they were rated in the late teens overall.

Anyone elses rookies have totally ugly jumpshots? I dont know if im gonna be able to get used to mine.

Beasley has a Evan Turner type shot, not bad but still getting used to it

Fordham ironically shoots it exactly the same as Marcus Thornton...Ironic cause I'd never used that jumpshot, and now I have Thornton himself as well  Sparks should never be allowed to shoot a basketball...I've already decided...
