LOL yeah i have no idea when it comes to moves all i know is the spin and crossover other than that i have nothing :lol:
I reckon i need to figure out some new ones as you get found out pretty quick when you only have 2 moves in attack.
How do you guys do the step forward move when you are standing with the ball before dribbling? How do you find out how to do other moves? Is it in the practice menu or something?

Ben, unfortunately no chance of getting a game in today - workin' afternoon today, unless you want to start one at 11:30 tonight.
Can be on early tomorrow, but afternoon again

Just had an issue trying to get a custom game happening hopefully someone on here can help out.

Say you have a custom team made up for an online league for practice, how do you use that custom team in online mode for practice games? The team shows up in the quick game menu when playing the ecu but as soon as you try to play a custom exhibition game with someone the custom teams disappear and only the standard teams are able to be picked. Is there a way you can play using the custom team you have made up?

Uhhh pretty sure the draft isn't tomorrow!

And Zel is having trouble with his team. Michael is trying to sort it out, but right now it seems that it has glitched to a team that is not his and keeps locking things up.

Also loving all this talk about running in circles to get a shot and paint abusing, to be honest its just a game but at the same time its not like your not allowed to be competitive and realistically being competitive makes it more fun. Like when people pound the paint or do something i reckon is cheating i get pi ssed but its not because there cheating its because im trying and there beating me so ultimately there better than me that game, but the fun thing is if i get to play them next game i get a chance to beat them so it makes it fun and keeps it interesting.

I rather people complaining about pounding the paint and then giving it back, then everyone being plain betty and shooting mid range shots and doing perfect plays, because at the end of the day its a game its there to have fun and whether you have to compete or just play relaxed to enjoy the game, everyones different and find games fun by playing them differently. But yeah Ben-Portsie your mine mate lets get it cracking.

I don't use hesitation and I very rarely use the L2 button at all, except taking it to the hole (I slowly learnt that!). So there is no way that I dance around looking for shots. You'll also find I don't shake loose for drives and such either all that often simply because I can't.

Hey Ben I was going to quote you on your whole post but it was simply taking up too much space.

Just wanted to point out that I don't use the "alternate" control that lets you hit triangle to make a spin move. I actually use the default control and have perfected a couple of moves using the dribble-stick. It took a bit of time to learn those so all the credit to me if I can use them and pull off a score off of them.

We have a difference of opinion in terms of how people score but that's always going to happen. Everyone likes to win though, you can say that you just play for fun and don't care about winning - but everyone likes to win to some extent.

I'm not really going to say anymore because now I'm just over it. I've got a bit too much spare time on my hands in the holidays and also have a mean competitive streak which can result in rants when people call me out for things.

The bottom line is we're all buds here, and we all enjoy competitive games! :)

I guess at the end of the day everyone will have different styles, and hence the playing styles will clash. This specific PIP issue just seems to be recurring and has irritated me since I've been hearing it since I first started playing and have continued to try and adapt to please people.

The decider for me is the rules set down by the mods (e.g. % of PIP), if that's not being broken then it's all fair game.

Check the game manual Nicko it has a list. Or go into practice mode "freestyle" and you can go through a bunch of different moves. The ones I use are generally cross-over, step-back, reverse hop-step and spin move.

Good call Ranga. An honest opinion and a very truthful one. It sure as hell would be a boring league if we all played the same way.

Thanks for letting us know tee. That said, i can still edit the playoffs for season 2 so rather than give a team a default win we can offer an opportunity to another team to participate in the playoffs?

I have resent an invite to mkd_kid and also have one for HiHo. Might need a different user for HiHo as he hsant logged on for nearly a week (he is also my opponent in S2 playoffs)

I have sent a pm to Howey about a spot in the S2 playoffs to replace Big_tee as he finished 9th in the West, if he doesn't respond ill send it on to EmVeeSpree who finished 10th in the west.

Jimbo, my last word on it (other than the friendly jibes we have, me about your paint scoring and you about me banging my head against the wall by jacking up 3s :lol:) Please read what I say this time... For 3 quarters the other day, you were fine. No problems. You played a slashing game but it was fine. I don't want people playing just 1 style either. I just didn't like the last quarter as you went from a slashing/attacking the paint style, to a "give Rudy the ball on every play and attack the hoop after a pick and roll or variety of dribble moves or along the baseline" style. Again I'll say it, as I have in my last 3? posts: I don't have a problem with your game as a whole.

And sorry for the confusion on the controller config :)

Alright I'm done with it. Maybe you'll read what I said this time! If you had have read it in the 1st place I would have been done 4 posts ago! :lol:


Now get your arse on the PS3 John!

Game was closer than what the scoreboard reflected - as you said, a real defensive slog

Yeah much closer than the final score. You were making me change my game on O too with your D. I was trying a bunch of different set plays that I'd never even used! The last quarter it took us 2mins for anyone to score! :lol: But I managed to get a couple of fast breaks in which Martin hit the triple. Loved that play of Delfino blocking Wallace down 1 end then knocking down the transition 3 down the other! The score never broke out until right near the end, and it was probably Gortat's consecutive blocked shots that did it and Carney running the floor and finishing with a dunk and a sweet lay-up. Look forward to the next game :)

also lets get season 3 draft cracking im doing it tuff finding games at the mo, sure some other guys are 2 as i see heaps of guys in lobbies waitn round lately, so is the OCT 3 draft nxt sunday is it?? can u confirm this digz ???

Maybe mate! Looks like I've found Martin's shot again which is a BIG thing for me. Hit 8/15 from downtown yesterday in a practice match and then 6/11 today against John. Mostly in transition though so I hinge alot of stops. John does know how to lock down on me though and has a bunch of weapons at his disposal. If we each get through, I anticipate a close close match-up!
