ohh my god ur kidding, my ex lives in werribee and im there like every 2nd day or so. expect a visit from me sometime or two, i can tell u that much. really hope it goes good for ya and u setup, u've made me look forward to something now. :D:D

there is a free trade agreement with the us at the moment so i wont have to pay the 5% duty but yes i will have to pay the gst which is only 10% now if i get $10000.00 it only $1000 more which will be spread across the lot.
The stock insurance wont be an issue because it will come under my contents insurance now for public liability insurance i can put up sign say enter at own risk.
Now to running out of a house my council wont mind as long as i ask the neighbours about the traffic and if it a yes to all then theres no probs.

I would ring up your insurance company if I was you mate...

yeah thats all you have to do i no this because my boss owns the tool shop i work at and he dont need any sort of insurance

 then your boss has an awesome situation! My workshop is covered in enter at your own risk signs, mind your step signs, stay out of workshop signs and all the steps and such are painted bright yellow every 3 months, and we still NEED Liability insurance.... Maybe smaller business gets a way around it? But, public liability is one thing I would have covered to its fullest no matter what before I went into any bussiness venture, home based or shop front! People are assh0les looking for a payday these days!

on that note... we are classed as a small business, so your boss obviously gets away with alot!

Mate, I don't think you are even ready to be thinking about opening a business.

Say I come to your property and trip on the hose and break my leg...you think a 'enter at own risk' sign will help you? Definitely not at a private premises which is being used for commercial reasons :woot: I work in insurance mate.

Call my cynical, but i've heard it all before. Only in it to "help" collectors, offer the cheapest prices, open all hours to trade and talk cards. Until the novelty wears off and the bills start coming in and the shop is gone within 6 months.

When you finally open your store, please feel free to come back and let us know about it.

Until then, this thread is closed.
