Sucks huh! There's no legit way to track in the game, we NEED something!
I didnt even know in the original release you could track and have the compass tell you which way to head. At least bring that back!

I had a Pikachu on the radar the other day, but I couldnt find him. Drove around in circles only to pull the pin and go home.

GL with evolving Blastoise! I've caught just the 1, and yet to evolve him. My Wartortle is higher CP than my Blastoise, ha ha.

I definitely get that people get upset when hunters use maps, but I can't imagine how many have completed their Dex's withOUT the assistance of some form of radar/map.
But without it, I'd have not caught a heap of mine (at least yet). I mean;
Venusaur, Blastoise, some Pikachu's, Sandslash (I did evolve him after catching one), Kadabra, Graveler (I did evolve him after catching one), Onix, Haunter, Lickitung (I did hatch one after catching one), Porygon, Snorlax (hatched one before I caught one) & Dragonite.


Side note, have you noticed in your Pokedex now (if you havent complted it already) that if you spot a Gym and there's a mon you havent seen before, it now appears in your Dex as Seen 1 Caught 0.

I'm back to 129/130 now, as a Gym I checked out has a Machamp there, and I'm still yet to see one - close to evolving one.

Wow, really? I have checked out gyms with Lapras in, which I do not have and it hasn't done that to me.
Mine seems to go the opposite. I have not seen most of the 3rd stage evolutions in the wild, till I have evolved one.
Evolved Gengar, next day caught an 1100 CP one and that sort of thing has happened to me all through my Pokemon experience.

Side note, have you noticed in your Pokedex now (if you havent complted it already) that if you spot a Gym and there's a mon you havent seen before, it now appears in your Dex as Seen 1 Caught 0.

I'm back to 129/130 now, as a Gym I checked out has a Machamp there, and I'm still yet to see one - close to evolving one.

Well it is confirmed, it was added in the last update, just not mentioned ... at all

It's not working for me (yet), but seems to be working for others. About a 1/10 shots at actually scanning with success, and limited range, but still better than nothing at all.

Side note, Charmander started spawning near home over the weekend, so I managed to get a couple more. Now to get a few more to evolve Charizard, then start working on powering up the 100%er I have.

Hope you get a better move set with your Charizard than I got.

Had success with it last night.

Grabbed a few more Dratini's and Charmanders - ended up getting back to like 86 or something Charmander Candy, only to evolve yet another one. lol. Never happy. At least now, my Charmeleon is 1045CP!

Caught another Snorlax (988CP), and a new Wartortle - evolved him straight away to a 1707CP Blastoise.

Evolved another Gyarados (bloody Twister!!!), and have 82 more Magikarp Candy.

Need just 7 more Dratini Candy to evolve a new (hopefully better) Dragonite.

Yeah I'll be switching to Ghastly as soon as my current Charmeleon finishes his 3km trip.

I still need Gengar, so this'll help, although still means I either need to walk a heap, or catch a heap for the double candy to actually work.

With 4 x Candy for Buddy pokemon, puts me 3kms off evolving my Koffing.
Then going to move onto Machop, still need about 70 Candy to evolve to my Machamp, just found a Machop nest yesterday, which is an added bonus.
Would be awesome to hatch a Machop during this bonus period too, fingers crossed.

Well one walk this morning and I have .... almost 400 Ghastly Candies already
Walked off enough km's to evolve my Koffing, Machop and almost there for my Omanyte.
Then on to the long hard grind for Grimer candies, only have 27 at this stage.
That is all the Pokemon I need that can be evolved, leaving me needing Lapras, Chansey and Aerodactyl.
I have my fingers crossed every time I hatch a 10km ...

i opened pokemon go for the first time in over a month today. hatched a chansey with 62 candies.... thank you...

going to walk around with porygon while this updates about so i can score myself a porygon 2 when generation two drops.

CHANSEY?!! Oh man, nice!! I'm still yet to see my first.

Loving this event that Niantic have done for Halloween. So far, I've evolved a Charizard, have enough for another Dragonite, caught Gengar, and then evolved him again. Over indulged in Drowzee's and Hypno's ha ha.

Back to 136 Magikarp candy, considering going for another Gyarados soon. Oh and hatched another Snorlax, making 4 in total.

Sitting on 244 Mon's, so in need of a transfer session! ha ha.

29 candies with porygon now, so need to work that up to 50 for porygon 2

Then i might start walking with charmy again
Because my charizard moveset sucks.

Happy to be picking up interest in this game again, it got very boring after hitting 142 and completing the aussie pokedex. So im enjoying this weekend and the interest it spiked, actually ran 9kms last night to get some porygon candy haha

I do wonder if I will ever see those last 3 I need, Lapras seems to always spawn half an hour after I left the spot.
Have only ever heard of one Chansey spawning on the coast here and I know where Aerodactyl spawns but once again, never when i'm there.
Hatching has definitely been a more miss than hit for me, guess its like pulling that Jordan auto ...
Waiting for my last 4 evolves to take me to 139, will do it all on a Lucky Egg session, with the stack of other evolves I got building up.

thats the advantage of having circular quay here i guess they all spawn within 3km of each other, you just have to get a sprint on sometimes.

I'm now sitting 134/137 seen/caught. Just 14 to go for the complete Dex (includes foreign and Mew, etc right?)

Got a few changes for my Dex over the weekend. Evolved a new Dragonite (2145CP). Evolved Vileplume (1496CP), a new Rapidash (1240CP), Wigglytuff (1160CP + Hyperbeam), caught a nice IV Charmander this morning, hatched a Vulpix - putting me 2 candy from Ninetails, with the added extras, have a crap tonne of Drowzee candy (300+), a nice maxed out Gengar (1555CP), and can evolve another Gyarados, but waiting on a top IV Magikarp.

I like you're thinking on Blissey and Porygon 2.0. I'm on 30 Porygon Candy, but have never seen Chansey unfortunately.

Currently walking out Abra Candy with 67 on hand, once I reach 100, I'll move over to Vulpix to get 2 more for Ninetails and cross her off my Dex, and then hopefully move on to Machop Candy for Machamp (sitting on 75).

Lots to do, and at work all week, ha ha. Anyone know when the Halloween special event ends?

So it looks like I just need #51 (Dugtrio), #68 (Machamp - working on the candy), #87 (Dewgong), #113 (Chansey), #131 (Lapras) & #139 (Omastar).
