BGS have graded it so it must be legit If they did grade it in that condition, surely they would realise that its only going to destroy their reputation. Maybe it was an inside job?

I would say this could be real. There have been some CRAZY patches in those cards and I see no reason for there not to be a logoman on at least one of them. No NBA logo cards back then.

I've actually spoken to BGS before, they grade the condition of the card and auto only, and authentication of the patch isn't part of their job.

True, but I'm sure that worries them very little lol There's been a graded amare 03-04 limited logos going around that has a fake patch and has been graded...

the interesting thing about those cards (i had an okafor one) is that there is so much room to just slide in your own patch if you were that way inclined..........there is atleast 3mm from the silver border of the G to the fabric that was originally in there.......

why would anyone swap a logo into a patch card from 98 that holds so much value.....i believe its real....too risky too take out the patch of a card that alone has a really high value.
