Official 2018 NRL TLA Traders Thread (Sell Sheet Page 5)

My hoffman signed came from the two bonus packs in an album which was a good surprise for me. All other hits ( total of 6 predictors and two signatures came from full boxes ) I was lucky to hit storm, roosters, broncos, Panthers, warriors and tigers predictors with the first 3 giving a good return of $1200
 
Jut looked on eBay and it seems the startoon cards inserted in the 3 pack starter pack consist of the same startoon cards that come from a sealed box but each player has 4 different colour coding. Does this mean there are 4 parallel sets of startoon? Can anyone clarify?

I feel your pain mate, I've gone through countless packs and starters the last few years, not to mention the dreaded "curse of the dud box" striking me down. The Law of Averages isn't always a sound science. So I just keep battling away, coz Footy Cards is my thing that I do. :crazy:

When i looked at the sales flyer it seemed the colours matched the respective teams, but when I've looked again it does appear that it IS in fact, the normal Startoon in different colours.

Which is a bummer because it makes it harder to see who you're getting before you buy the starter pack (Last year you could tell which card was in the starter pack because the edge of the card stuck out and you could tell by the colour who it was.)

It doesn't appear so. Starter Packs aren't supposed to be officially available until next Thursday, so by then we'll know.

It'd be nice to have a full colour set of Jackson and Reynolds but I'm not sure whether it'll be feasible on my own.

If you buy from a newsagent or servo and can afford it take one complete side from a full box. Takes you to a 50% chance of the hit of there is one in the box. If you buy mixed loose packs then just think you are paying that coin for a FOG or pearl and it won't hurt as much lol
 
I mean, Elite was my luckiest set ever last year. Approx 36 loose packs. Got 1 LS, 1 YG, 1 ASP, 1 Ruby Mojo and 3 captains. Not a single dud either.
 
So with the starter pack startoons you have four colour parallels: Green, Blue- imited to 400, Yellow- limited to 200 and Pink- limited 10 100 and foiled number
 
Did I miss something but I thought the release date for traders 2018 was the 8th March. I understand the dealers did pre-sales and case breaks started last Friday but it seems there are some that have their cases on sale already!!
Not sure that is fare...

At the end of the day I'm sure if you had the means to obtain your stock early you would do the same.

Actually I'm really dissapointed you didn't put the effort in to get your cards as early as possible. What if you'd hit a cotric or rapana SASS and could of listed it for sale? I could have bought that card and settled my anxiety! Now I have to wait until the bloody 8th of March to try and get one!

I'd really appreciate it if you would put in a bit more effort for the next releases and try and obtain your cards a bit early as I'm very dissapointed and think it's un fair!

Order was already put in but living in Melbourne these days, seems to be the after thought after NSW and QLD have their stock.
Anyway. That was my beef. I've said what I wanted to say.

A little odd because in reality, your statement is the opposite to the way it works which is based purely on the geographics of our great land.....

Stock actually ships direct to Melbourne from overseas. Melbourne sellers received stock on Thursday, Sydney Friday and Brisbane will be Monday.
