you're not serious are you. Trying to promote yourself as a sports writer and you come out with this crap. Bennett and Bargnani are completely different players, different roles and are different for many reasons (many even in favour of Bennett). As is Bennett but his a 'waste of a pick' apparently. Does that made Bargnani a waste of a signing?
He's in a position where is not getting the touches he got previously, he will have to figure out his role and how he is going to get his points. (yes the same could apply to Bennett but Bargnani is doing a hell of a better job - so far.)He is 5 games into a season with a new team where he is down in the pecking order ball wise. I'm sure it will take him awhile to adjust. No other player will ever have big numbers for the Knicks while Melo and Chandler are playing

Since you compared them, after 5 games -
Barg - 23.7 mins, 12pts, 3.2 rebs, 1 ast, 2.2 TO, 0.4 stls, 1 blk
Bennett - 11.2 mins, 0.8pts,2.8 rebs, 0.2 ast, 0.2 TO, 1 stls, 0.3 blk
and since Barg is playing more minutes let's compare per 48 minutes
Barg - 24.3 pts, 6.5 rebs, 2 ast, 4.5 TO, 0.8 stls, 2 blk
Bennett - 3.9pts, 11.7 rebs, 0.7ast, 0.7 TO, 4.3 stls, 1.4blk
Right now the Cavs would be laughing to have Bargnani coming off the bench instead of Bennett.
The point Jaames was making is not that he is 5 games in or not that he is on a new team but
He's in a position where is not getting the touches he got previously, he will have to figure out his role and how he is going to get his points. (yes the same could apply to Bennett but Bargnani is doing a hell of a better job - so far.)
You don't need to reply - we've already heard all the Bennett/Cavs excuses from you and as I said before I hope he comes good, there is obviously a reason he was picked number one and there is obviously talent there, seems mentally is his biggest issue right now. Going 1-20 cannot be good. If anything he needs to go to the d-league and get some confidence (problem with that is it can also be pretty devastating)
And I'm definitely not saying he is a waste of a pick, but I am quite sure that Cavs execs are worried by his form and are desperately hoping he lives up to potential.
Is Bargnani a waste of a signing - no, he is doing exactly the job he was signed for.
what do you mean this crap? i have an opinion as does everyone, no need to go out and attack other peoples opinion just because you don't agree. (and yes a bit of sarcasm was intended by that post i made.) i just don't understand how when I say Bennett has gotten off to a rough start because his adjusting to a different game or when i say Bennett is having a rough start because he hasn't played this role before etc, it gets called excuses or this or that etc but when jaames uses the same excuses for Bargs, no one says a thing??
im not saying you said it was a waste of a pick, but other people on this site and around the web have said it.
As is Bennett but his a 'waste of a pick' apparently. Does that made Bargnani a waste of a signing?
And I'll absolutely stick by my comment:
"This pick by the Cavs, baffles me. I hear he's out of shape but he did have a pre-season of sorts. Unless Cavs are gonna trade a big this is just a waste of a pick. They're trying to win now so why didn't they grab somebody NBA ready?"
Dude you really need to stop crying about this.
Bennett is flat out struggling, still.
The pressure of being a no.1 is huge. People have ragged on Kwame and Olowakandi for years and they had some double doubles. Plenty of them actually. My opinion is that the Cavs have not really tried to fill a particular hole, they do however seem like they'll be looking to swing a trade which will open things up for the no.1.
I think this is as much on the Cavs as it is Bennett. He's just not a no.1, even he was surprised when he was drafted.
Also, seeing as I'm upset that I had money on the Cavs today, is Kyrie Irving the most overrated player in the NBA? I thought that he would come in and school MCW but he didn't really at all. This is scary, especially for all of those that are blowing mega bucks on his cards.
I really love his game, but I expect a little bit more.
It's crap because Jaames's post had nothing to do with Bennett , yet you keep dragging him into it and digging a bigger and bigger hole.what do you mean this crap? i have an opinion as does everyone, no need to go out and attack other peoples opinion just because you don't agree. I've said this many times and maybe you need to read it slow to understand, I'm saying drafting a player with the #1 pick to be a bench player is a waste, not saying Bennett is a bad player just that the Cavs front office stinks. Don't you find it weird that pretty much everyone thinks it is a bad pick apart from you?
It's crap because Jaames's post had nothing to do with Bennett , yet you keep dragging him into it and digging a bigger and bigger hole.
They are not comparable, Bargnani is having an MVP season compared to Bennett so I'm not sure why you would compare them.
You need to move on, as you said everyone has opinions - including those that think Bennett is a dud already. Accept the fact that he has had a stinker of a start to the season, stop making excuses for him. There is no excuse for being 1-20, as I said hopefully he comes right - but for the time being stop seeing it through your Cavs coloured lenses.
Plus this injury could be the best thing for him and force him to step away for a bit to get his mind right.
James point was about the different role he is playing. You have had a list a mile long for Bennett.Only reason I compared it to Bennett is because I used the same 'excuses' for Bennett but no one gave a sh!t but then when jaames used the Same 'excuses' for bargs, it was all good. That's the point I was trying to make. I understand that bargs is having a better season then Bennett and I understand that Bennett is struggling. I'm not making excuses for him, I'm just stating facts on why he has had a bad start to the season.

wish i could like this more than once..lolI really can't believe this Cav's/Bennett arguement/debate is still going!
