you're not serious are you. Trying to promote yourself as a sports writer and you come out with this crap. Bennett and Bargnani are completely different players, different roles and are different for many reasons (many even in favour of Bennett). As is Bennett but his a 'waste of a pick' apparently. Does that made Bargnani a waste of a signing?
Since you compared them, after 5 games -
Barg - 23.7 mins, 12pts, 3.2 rebs, 1 ast, 2.2 TO, 0.4 stls, 1 blk
Bennett - 11.2 mins, 0.8pts,2.8 rebs, 0.2 ast, 0.2 TO, 1 stls, 0.3 blk
and since Barg is playing more minutes let's compare per 48 minutes
Barg - 24.3 pts, 6.5 rebs, 2 ast, 4.5 TO, 0.8 stls, 2 blk
Bennett - 3.9pts, 11.7 rebs, 0.7ast, 0.7 TO, 4.3 stls, 1.4blk
Right now the Cavs would be laughing to have Bargnani coming off the bench instead of Bennett.
The point Jaames was making is not that he is 5 games in or not that he is on a new team but
He's in a position where is not getting the touches he got previously, he will have to figure out his role and how he is going to get his points. (yes the same could apply to Bennett but Bargnani is doing a hell of a better job - so far.)He is 5 games into a season with a new team where he is down in the pecking order ball wise. I'm sure it will take him awhile to adjust. No other player will ever have big numbers for the Knicks while Melo and Chandler are playing
You don't need to reply - we've already heard all the Bennett/Cavs excuses from you and as I said before I hope he comes good, there is obviously a reason he was picked number one and there is obviously talent there, seems mentally is his biggest issue right now. Going 1-20 cannot be good. If anything he needs to go to the d-league and get some confidence (problem with that is it can also be pretty devastating)
And I'm definitely not saying he is a waste of a pick, but I am quite sure that Cavs execs are worried by his form and are desperately hoping he lives up to potential.
Is Bargnani a waste of a signing - no, he is doing exactly the job he was signed for.
