A native of the Republic of Tanzania and a collegiate product at Connecticut, Thabeet had no say in his three previous pro stops. The Memphis Grizzlies drafted him and eventually traded him to the Houston Rockets, who dealt him to the Portland Trail Blazers. Three teams in three years equaled no fun and little success. “Definitely this is a great opportunity for me,” Thabeet said. “Every situation in the past doesn't really matter. The present is what I've got to face. I've got to deal with what I can control, come in and work hard and just be a part of the team. “It's another situation, so I've got to come in with a different mentality and be ready to work hard.” Oklahoman

TBH, that's the first D.Rose "the return" vid I've seen, and I really appreciated it! Hard to imagine what he's going through. Had my own issues with ankle recos, but knees in a high-profile/demanding athlete, shattering really!

Looks like some guys on the move there, with Quisy Daniels, and Morrison making a return, interesting!!

Suns' Frye out indefinitely due to enlarged heart

PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix Suns forward Channing Frye will be out indefinitely after a preseason physical revealed an enlarged heart.
The Suns said Frye has developed a dilated cardiomyopathy, a condition discovered during an echocardiogram by team cardiologist Dr. Tim Byrne.
Dilated cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle, primarily affecting the left ventricle, which becomes enlarged and can't pump blood to the body with as much force as a healthy heart, according to mayoclinc.com.
Frye signed with Phoenix, his hometown team, in 2009 and has averaged 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in three seasons. He averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds last season.
Frye has also played with Portland and New York during a seven-year NBA career.
