Aside from Hill, appearing on the Lakers' "short list" of names they are hoping to add to the roster for the veteran's minimum are Antawn Jamison, Elton Brand and Jermaine O'Neal, according to a source familiar with the team's thinking. ESPN.com
EDIT:
^ yeah not sure what that means (the Rockets Twitter), I'm sure the media will be running wild with that tho! ha ha.
For the Minny/Blazer fans, there's been nothing new on the possible S&T for Nic Batum to the T'Wolves. Despite all the talking, the Wolves have yet to put forth an offer of S&T (their only way to acquire Batum, since the Blazers have said they'll match any offer sheet he signs).
EDIT again:
I thought the Nets were discussing a S&T for Jamison? He hasnt been amnestied has he?
Oooh, I dunno then mate, might have done. LOL, thinks he's Dwight now does he!!
I find it funny these guys who say they'll only play for XXX team. What if those teams don't want them!

I think Jamison would be an excellent fit anywhere. The Lakers especially.
He can shoot from anywhere on the court, still boards well and does'nt mind playing a role.
Great team man. I'm hoping he goes to L.A because he's played for alot of average teams.
can someone please PM me when BUlls make a decision that actually makes any sense.
from what i herd they matched asik's offer WHY? and dropped CJ and Ronnie. and maybe korver now. pretty much destroying their bence support.
It is fine to drop people but you need to pickup something worth pickup in return to fill the gaps and not wait for the left overs in the FA at the last minute.
Didn't he come out and say he'll only play with the Warriors, Lakers or Bobcats?
Bit of an odd combination!?

Sources told ESPN.com that the Rockets, should they go ahead with their widely reported plans to release starting power forward Luis Scola via the NBA's amnesty clause, are prepared to absorb the contracts of Jason Richardson, Glen Davis and Chris Duhon -- in addition to sending Orlando multiple future first-round picks and recent draftees -- to give the Magic an opportunity to wipe their payroll virtually clean for their post-Howard rebuilding effort.
Rockets officials, though, remain steadfast in their belief that, even if the Bulls decline to match on Asik, that they'll be able to absorb at least three of the four aforementioned Magic role players: Richardson, Davis, Duhon and Turkoglu. Sources say that the Rockets would have to send Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris and Chandler Parsons to the Magic from their current roster to make the salary-cap math work, as well the draft rights to Jeremy Lamb, Royce White and Terrence Jones, all selected in last month's first round.

Free agent O.J. Mayo was in Phoenix on Friday, his first visit with one of multiple teams in the hunt for the Grizzlies’ shooting guard. Mayo’s agent said last week that the Rockets, Bulls, Celtics and Bobcats could be in the running for the four-year veteran. The Grizzlies declined to make a qualifying offer to Mayo and retain refusal rights, shifting Mayo’s status from restricted free agent to unrestricted. HoopsWorld
