Official 2011-2012 Playoff thread

I wish I was as hopeful as you :(

I always said that if SA got eliminated, I will be hoping for OKC to win it... but now I am not sure. Only for one reason! They couldn't just win the game today! The had to keep f***ing with my head by letting me think we were back in it several times, only to take it away!

I am 90% convinced that OKC were doing that PURELY to mess with MY head! Dirty Pigs!

No, but seriously, I did want it to be OKC if it couldn't be SA, I just wish they were in different conferences so it would be the finals and not the WCF!

Lets hope for a SA win on Thursday!! Even if OKC take game 7, I don't mind, I just want it to get to 7!!

that was nuts! harden came up big for us.
OKC playing Spurs-basketball with different guys stepping up every game

It probably won't make sense, but i think that win was more critical for OKC than it would have been for SAS. Meaning that the odds for Spurs to win the last 2 games is higher than if OKC had to win 2 games.

Obviously with this OKC win they have a better chance of winning the series. Had OKC lost this game I would have written them off. But right now I am not prepared to write off SAS.

on a side note. why was parker flopping so much? not crazy CP3/wade flops, but bad enough to affect his own game because it's making him slip over and blowing plays. I've watched quiet a few spurs game this season and I've only noticed it late in this game. it's like he has no energy left

I think you will find that the reason for the flops is because of how much control the refs had in this game! It was full of terrible calls! Both ways. Slightly more against SA imo.

I did call early that the refs better pull up Ibaka on his screens if they were gonna call Blair.... and they did in the end, but not consistent!

And some of the offensives were a bit iffy! Collison's on the most were good, but there were a couple of bad ones too imo!

Wow, what a game. Up and down. Hearing the scores throughout the game I always thought the Spurs just needed to hang in there all game and they'd come through down the stretch. Then When OKC were up about 12 with 5 mins to go I thought they were done. Man not a bad finish.Great game by OKC.

This series is certainly not over. People get carried away too easily. When Spurs were 2 zip up, all it was, was a good start to the series, that's all. Game 6 is going to be amazing.

There is a bit of fate with this Thunder team though. Durant is looking like the best player in the League. NOT LEBRON. Sorry Lebron lovers but Durant has his head right and he's only 23 right? Crazy.

Westbrook still loses his head. You can see it even when he makes an awesome play. He goes up and down too much. Still, he's a very good player. Imagine what he'll be like when he starts making the correct decisions all of the time.

I wonder what adjustments will be made next game. I'd be tempted to start Jackson and Ginobili next game. It makes the bench young though. But they probably would'nt see ALOT of mins anyway.

This is the first twist in the series, hopefully there's one more ;)

Either way, I'll still be a happy man if Miami lose. Hater you say (gee I loathe that term, it sounds lame)? Maybe, but I like TEAMS, not individuals. Boston, OKC and the Spurs are all teams.

Bring on tomorrow.

Go C's

Cant see how the spurs are going to win game 6. They have been outplayed even in there wins. Okc should have won game 1. Not sure if the week off after round 1 and then another week off after round 2 helped. Maybe a victim of their own success. But personally i think okc's defense has been outstanding, running guys off the 3, help on the weak side, they have just been huge. Okc will have to have a melt down to lose the next game. K rant is the best player in the league, very high basketball iq, a supreme athlete and a great decision maker. I also think scott brooks has been more than up to the challenge, his adjustments before and during games have been A1..

Thank you Gary Neal, without your help on just about every possession where the ball was in your vicinity on offense the Spurs might have won. Woeful individual offensive performance. I hope you get to play a full 48mins in Game6 so that OKC can go through to the Finals without a problem.

I can't comment on the game as I only followed it on the phone and I wont watch replays of games my team loses in any sport but it aint done yet, anything can happen game six and the seven is at home and if it gets to game seven that will be a massive effort by the Spurs.... do I think it will happen???? No, not really

However, if OKC beat us, I will go for em in the finals, credit where credit is due and I usually hate players that tear my teams new ones, but I do love Durant and would love to see him hand it to Lebron and that Sooky baby Wade.... Spoelstra aint a coaches asshole, he's a preppy douche with Riley's hand firmly up his ass and I'd hate it if he was a Championship coach...

Wow........ not sure if I have any hair left after that lol.... was some very questionable calls against OKC in the last 5 mins of the game with all the flopping going on by the Spurs; if the Spurs has won because of that I would have been very pissed!!

I think once Manu got hot he went into a bit of a "Kobe mode" where he jacks up too many shots and doesn't involve the rest of the team, he helped them get back in it, but then after that he kept trying to do too much and the rest of the team wasn't involved.

SAS can still win this series, as they are a very good team; but just hope we take care of business at home and head to the finals! :kick:

I cannot stand that beard. Turrible

Dislike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What call are you referring to?? I thought the calls late in the game were pretty good!

And both teams were flopping throughout the game. Harden and Parker particularly!

The only thing that kept SA in it at the end was Westbrook's lack of ability to get the ball to a red got KD!

I know, i like Westbrook but god he was scaring me.. he nearly cost OKC that game.

Very erratic play for that time in the game and series.

This is because he isn't a natural Point guard but it'll come with experience. I like what he's been doing the past few games (except for those momentary lapses). The team mentality on his behalf has been a huge shift from his pre-season antics and the Thunder are now up 3-2 for it.

LETS GO HEAT!!!

OKC/Heat finals please NBA gods :D

Oh dear, I think the C's could be in trouble this game. Lebron has 5rebs in first quarter... Last time he rebounded well MIA won.

12 TOs between both sides, looks sloppy??

Agreed!! I have been saying for a while that I would like to see him play a SG role with a passer PG next to him!
