One for our Sharkie supporters..
Been a Dragon supporter contray to what people may think, i hope it goes ahead, for the only purpose to keep the sharkies going, i like my local derby and also don't want the rivalry with Sharks and Dogs, Tigers, Souths, Roosters even Storm to dissapear, league would become boring...

Sutherland Shire Council planning officers have delivered a scathing assessment of the Cronulla Sharks’ development proposal.
The project ‘‘has a number of significant failings’’, their report, which has been placed on the council’s website, said.

A special meeting of the environment and planning committee, to be held on Monday, will consider the report and decide whether to forward it to the Planning Department before the December 5 deadline for public submissions.

‘‘The site simply cannot accommodate such an intensive form of development without adverse effects,’’ the report said.

While the design had been ‘‘tweaked’’ in response to feedback, it had not been comprehensively altered or the intensity reduced.

‘‘The desire for the club to continue and the NRL team to be successful has aroused the support of many in the community,’’ the report said.

‘‘However, many submissions in support fail to recognise the significant environmental impact this development will have on the locality.

‘‘A centre in this location is a poor planning outcome.

‘‘The financial viability of the club is not a planning consideration.’’

A response is awaited from the Sharks.

James Maloney
Just reported in this mornings news that he has signed with an unnamed aussie nrl club for 2013 ....

I have heard 10 different clubs so far, from Roosters(SBW signed as well) Souths, Dogs, melb, broncos and more....

---------- Post added 26-11-2011 at 04:52 PM ----------

Looks like Roosters....

Thats for Salary Cap purposes, they will still pay him to work at the club which will not count on the salary cap, keeps him loyal, if he comes good offer him a lower contract as they paid him while he was injured, prove himself then get upgraded, i don't have a problem, they "breed" him, so they should benefit if he recovers from his freak injury...

no, apparently because of his injury, tiges will re-sign if he comes good, will work with club in off-field capacity

Saw on a weekend golf show, Anasta saying he has got his golf handicap down to zip and preparing in readiness for a foray into professional golf tourneys.

yeah true but if the lad wasnt injured seriously he would be still on the books, he's been de-registered because he cant play, not because they are freeing up money to buy someone else. only the sharks are silly enough to keep long term injuries/illnesses on the books

The Bennett regime official starts today in Newcastle.

Before AY calls us the St George Knights i will remind him both Bennett and Boyd are from the Broncos and Cuthbertson is a journeyman.

Bring on the 2012 season.

Its all gone quite on the Snowden front the last couple weeks but last i heard was they were going to treat his neck for another couple weeks and if it did not respond he would have surgery before Christmas and should be back before the start of the season.

How is this, look at the StGeorge emblem
Horse (Broncos)
Dragons (Saints)
Knight (Newcastle)
Could this be Bennett's Holy trinity????

Bennett is a Dragons spent 3 years with us, only spent 20 years with the Bronco's ;)
Dragons made Boyd ...
Houston
Wicks (you turned him into a dealer  )
Naiqama x 2
McKinnon
Ben Rogers
Costigan

GO YOU St.George Illawarra Newcastle Knights Dragons!!!!

What rubbish AY

Rodgers we signed from Rabbitohs (he has retired anyway)
Wicks in jail - good dodge there
McKinnon is from Scone im pretty sure
Costigan is also from the Broncos
You gave both Naiquama's the boot (Funny how Wes has not been in trouble since he has been in Newcastle.......)

So that basically leaves your argument with Houston (also a lucky boy not to be in jail).

Go you Newcastle Broncos Knights

hahaha
Go you Dragon Knights..
p.s Rogers was signed from the Dragons, he left Souths halfway through the year joined us, played in the semis in 2008, then signed with Newie in 2009...
Never gave them the boot (Naiqama) we released him so he could get away from the temptations of sydney and not end up in jail, it was compassionate
