He was the one in the initial fight at the 'Brookvale Brawl'. He was also one of the guys that ran 30m to throw punches in the 5 vs 1 fight against Adam Blair. I remember him because he is in my 'grub' basket.

Talk that Stagg will be released by Bulldogs to return to live on Gold Coast. Most likely destination is the Titans.

Paul Osbourne will be gone by the end of the week.

Trent Hodkinson to Roosters

Shopping Hodkinson makes ZERO sense, but... I've heard of course that they're shopping Keating to try to make room for Foran IF he comes over, but Hodkinson's a half, Foran's a 5/8th, so you wouldn't have to move one to play the other... I REALLY hope you're wrong about that one, unless they're somehow have a DEFINATE plan to pick up a SOO-class half... Stagg I would be sad to see going, but at THIS stage it's more respect for his past deeds and constant effort even now. If he's after a retirement package after his work for the Broncs and Dogs over the years, he's definately earned it, IMO...

PARRAMATTA chief executive Paul Osborne has been cleared by the NRL club's board following allegations of misconduct.

The board met today to receive a report from an inquiry into Osborne's role in negotiating staff, sponsorship and player contracts as well as the use of his company credit card.

A statement said the club had found no issue with any of Osborne's dealings.

"The report found that there were no probity issues arising with respect to staff, sponsorship and player contracts," the statement said.

The inquiry's report did however identify areas where the club's contract administration could be improved and the board has indicated action will be taken on those issues
A further issue relating to a complaint from a female staff member against Osborne was of "insufficient grounds'' for any further action having being already upheld by the board in October, the club's statement said.

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA'S prospects of signing the Manly brothers Glenn and Brett Stewart are doubtful.

Speculation grew yesterday that the Illawarra siblings would return to their old stomping ground in 2013. Both have reportedly expressed disappointment at Manly's treatment of former coach Des Hasler, who was sacked by the club last week, and were contemplating a move elsewhere.

In a text message to the Illawarra Mercury, Brett Stewart said: ''not going to make any comment thanks anyway''.

But the deal could be over before it begins because of the Dragons' salary cap limitations.

It is understood the brothers each attract around $400,000 a season. That would increase by around $100,000 each when the NRL finalises its lucrative television rights deal.

By the time the 2013 NRL season gets under way, Brett will be 28 and Glenn will be 29. Both have had their share of injuries.

Clubs have a $4.2 million salary cap, which is likely to rise up to $6.6 million if the league achieves its desired $1.4 billion TV rights target for 2013.

Glenn is off contract at the end of next year, while a get-out clause in Brett's contract would allow him to sign with the Dragons immediately. The joint venture's budget has been freed up somewhat by Tim Moltzen reneging on a three-year deal earlier this month, on top of early contract departures by Mark Gasnier and Darius Boyd.

Brett, a NSW and Australian representative fullback, would be a highly formidable replacement for Moltzen next season - but as the Dragons know too well, the Stewarts come only as a package deal.

The Dragons tabled an offer to Brett early last decade following his rise as a successful Illawarra junior, but they didn't offer Glenn a contract.

The Stewart family declined to comment yesterday
