Illawarra mercury staffers shit me, This from a story today-However, both Carney and Flanagan are both in the frame to move to Wollongong, with Steve Price’s future also yet to be determined.

reply back to him and tell him it was you, and then tell him his colourful language has improved over the years :)

Ok i'll spill the story.......wont name the player though.

Back when I was a little kid about 8-9 after a game at Penrith Park I asked a player for an autograph out the back where the players come out of the sheds. I asked nicely and he proceeded to tell me to in his words "F Off kid" being 8 or 9 I was a little bit shocked.

I mentioned this to someone recently and it appears to have got back to him. I got a message today through facebook from this person saying:

Funny how u witnessed me being rude to a kid that asked for my autograph u filthy liar have done many things but never that, not hard to work out u wouldnt say it to my face, what a grub

I haven't had the heart to respond and let him know that that kid was me?

Speaking generally - as sometimes deeper problems are legitimate - I'm getting tired of people using some type of illness as an excuse. As in "I only got drunk/hit my girlfriend/broke team rules/gambled my pay check because I'm suffering from depression".

A lot of people just need to grow up and learn to act responsibly, and if they don't they will face the consequences

Of course, if people do have problems, they should get help, it just shouldn't be a get out of jail free card!

End rant :)

Agreed, massive problem not just in professional sports but in society as a whole. People refuse to take responsibility for their actions and then are those out there who support that kind of attitude and the conduct that follows.

I thought someone mentioned this story on here before? could be wrong though, could have been another player doing a similar thing hahah

Cronulla Sharks chairman Damian Irvine has quit the embattled NRL club.
Irvine had been under intense pressure after the board's controversial standing down of coach Shane Flanagan and the sacking of key staff members including Darren Mooney, Mark Noakes, David Givney and Konrad Schultz.
Former Sharks player Glenn Coleman will be the new chairman.
Irvine said he felt his "presence at the club may prove to be an obstacle" to the investigation into drugs at the Sharks.

"As a result I'm standing down as the chairman of the board of directors today. The club needs time to investigate and plan the way forward without added distraction.
"We have a bright future financially at the Cronulla Sharks. Our membership is booming compared to previous years and we're not going anywhere.
"There's no stronger or tougher club to get through it.
"The NRL have been very supportive. They're in a difficult position as well. The players are under the ASADA code, we are under the NRL code, it's very complicated."
Coleman said: "We need to focus 100 per cent on the interests of our player who are in this ASADA investigation.
"We've got a review in place at the moment which we want to get through as quickly as possible."
Former Brisbane Broncos chief executive Bruno Cullen will start at the Sharks today.
"Bruno is a friend of mine," Irvine said. "I've known him for a while. He will come in and help at a time when a board had to make a very difficult decision at a hard time."
Cronulla kicked off their season with a 12-10 win over the Gold Coast Titans at Sharks Stadium on Sunday night. Players and fans were open in their support for Flanagan, Mooney, Noakes, Givney and Schultz.
