josh morris had to be the worst on ground surely he didnt make a tackle all night?

also our forwards got pumped.

more importantly queensland just outsmarted us, NSW played to hurt people instead of played to play footy. beau scott and merrin dumping players on their head, cost us two tries and the game was over at that point.

I thought Aaron Woods was great for QLD. He gave away 3 stupid penalties and instead of making metres and giving the blues something to play off all he did was niggle all night

i honestly don't know what the hell happened. It was the same NSW side that had won convincingly enough against Queensland 3 weeks ago playing a somewhat weakened Queensland side and still got pumped.

I guess Queensland wanted it more to prove their "dynasty" wasn't over

I think NSW tried to hard to smash QLD in the opening minutes and when that wasn't working they kept doing it rather then playing footy, also I think they played too many media games with Robbie Farah, but all over the park they looked slow and tired and a lot of players didn't look interested...a disappointing performance.

also its amazing the difference Cronk makes to the QLD team..

League is such a momentum game these days and when you have that kind of possession with those players it is hard to stay in the game. In saying that NSW were horrible, lots of soft errors, more interested in niggle than football (like QLD in game 2) and their right edge defence was diabolical. Dugan tried his arse off all night and made some great defensive plays and Gallen was tough but had no support and just seemed to be gang tackled every time he had the ball.

I think we can all agree that GI at fullback is a scary proposition

There were a couple of critical things in last nights game
- QLD's pride was smashed in Melbourne (A home game for them) and they were humiliated.
- NSW went in with the same game plan - BASH EM!! Doesn't work all the time.
- ANY team that has JT in the form he was in last night, Is hard to stop.
- Ennis kick out of dummy half was where we lost momentum.
- Normally, I'd have thought the penalty should be taken, But so early on - When NSW had them on the ropes, I thought they made a mistake.
- I didn't think Farah was a big contributer at Origin, But if Ennis is next best - there's daylight between them. The amount of tackles he bounced off, leaving them to make more meters, Lake of urgency in attack.... He was terrible.
- I thought J Morris would have a blinder after being stood up so often last game (Even though we won) I WAS WRONG. Both Morris Boys looked lethargic...
- Whatever Parra is paying hoppa - It's far too much. He's been ordinary for Parra, And EXTRAOrdinary at Origin... I wonder if he'll even find another club next year. He shows no desire to play football at any level - Last player I saw like this was Blake Ayshford.

All in all, I think the moment really got to them. A decider at Suncorp with so much time to think about it.... They were mentally out of the game.

Some of the player stats are amazing.

Jackson only 1 hit up and 23 tackles.

Hoffman 1 hit up and 5 tackles.

B scott 2 hit ups.

Merrin 2 hit ups 25 tackles.

Lillyman 11 hit ups 8 tackles, which sums up the possesion pretty quickly.

NRL site has Pearce down for 6 missed tackles. Without watching the game again I can think of 4 tries where he was heavily involved in the tackle that was broken for the try to be scored. The GI try I am can't recall if Pearce missed the initial tackle or made a bad defensive read and pushed in on the decoy runners

At then end of the day though a halves job isn't to defend and when you forwards go MIA and you have to defend all game then this is bound to happen
