NRL Insert Set......what would you create? (UPDATED WITH SOME NEWS)

What about serious suggestions guys? Obviously Matt is in contact with Terry and they are listening!
As a non-NRL fan (a little bit I guess) - some ideas from NBA
* State of Origin - could be from the last series or something like memorable moments
* Trading PLaces - players in more than one team
* Clive churchill winners
* Finals Flashbacks
* National Teams
* Indigenous/Torres Strait Teams

spot on and there was no sign of ESP on here when their first release was out....... Awesome ideas. We can send ESP broke in 6 months.
Only suggestion I would have is which ever insert they end up making, make enough samples/ promo cards and let collectors have an opportunity to them as the first release had promo cards, but they all went to distributors.

I don't think anyone who posted something light humoured actually intended for it to be made, or to ridicule ESP.
I've worked in think tanks. Sometimes the more ridiculous something is, the more it can be discussed, honed down to something better and voila...you've got innovation.
Personally, I just want a common set. I was one of the people who actually didn't mind TOTY and CPY cards.
And since this is an open 'forum' everyone is entitled to chuck in their 2 bob worth.

That is kind of how the Dynamic one worked. Each pack had a point value card, either a try, goal or field goal. There were three different items with different point values that you could redeem with your points.

I agree with you but it's something different, who knows it might work.
Do you think it would have the same impact if it was the same idea but redeem for online points?
Rittenhouse have been doing this for years, I think its a great idea for the kids releases, lets say each wrapper is valued at 2 reward points, send in so many reward points to receive a limited release oversize promo card or a team logo card of your team.........kids would eat it up.
Or, so many points will get the younger collector a copy of the rugby league game?
The idea of these threads is to give voice to ideas to help grow our hobby. All the negative and crappy ideas we continue to throw up will only have ESP and other manufactures looking at us as a collective bunch of idiots.

I think that is the funny things, we whinge when card companies don't listen to the collectors and now we complain that they are -
Personally I think that it is great to be able to offer them something, there was one of the US companies (I think one fo the college card companies) that actually had a design contest where people could submit their designs for an insert set and they actually developed it (One of the guys on HK actually won it).
I think that is what they are looking to do with the Match Attax style release.
ESP would be much better served trolling around in the NBA mailday/box break threads to see some of the amazing product they make these days. To me ESP need to look more at what you can actually do with a card these days technology wise rather than trying to reinvent the insert.
