Memorabilia Collection

Great cap. I have had to slow down on a number of items that I would be chasing because of some of the cards I have got lately.
Anything from that era is going for top dollar.
Great to see that some items are being kept in the condition that they deserve, and preserved for others to see.
Well done

regards Russell.

Some unusual items. 3 seat cushions with the foam one in the plastic never opened. The red one has a velvet like covering and is inflatable. I have a second one which I can't find at the moment. I don't have all my stuff out as my wife will only allow me to have so much out at a time.
Cheers Russell

Good stuff bigrob2307,
I go by the philosophy it is not the amount that you have or what it cost but the fact that you get enjoyment from what you have.
It has taken me a long time to get what I have, it is a good thing that I am a patient person.
Unfortunately we are all limited by financial constraints with our collecting, but that can make acquisitions even more special

regards Russell

You guys have got some super memorabilia. I can't collect both cards and other so i am concentrating on cards. But one day my time will come. (to collect). Great philosophy Russell. Work on your wife.

Perseverance and patience are key factors in collecting which can't be over-rated. The thing is not to be impatient. For newbies, collecting either takes lots of money which most of us don't have or perseverance and patience. I am lucky that although I don't have lots of money I have a lot of patience and perseverance.

"Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another."

I was lucky enough to get another Oooh Aah Glenn McGrath for my collection, can't wait until it arrives. Line and length and Ooh Aah what a catch.

Take care and good hunting everyone. :kick:

Regards Russell

Hi Walshy. Yes ebay. Was cheap in the scheme of things. It is my new christmas present from my kids but they don't know it yet. LOL. ;)
How is the collection going Walshy?

Regards Russell:D

Hiya Walshy.

I suppose an actual game used stump from Phil Hughes' second test match, yes his first test match 100 in South Africa may be of interest to you ? I am lucky enough to have a couple and would be prepared to chat with you if you would like to add one to your collection. They have been signed by Graeme Smith for authenticity.

I have attached some pics for you too look at. Being actual stumps used in this test, there are bumps n bruises and a little of the protective film lifting but all in all in fantastic condition and a true collectors item to add to your collection. ( even still has dirt on the spike of stump )

I have been without my computer at home for 3 weeks and expecting it back tomorrow so shoot me a message and I will reply as soon as I can.

To my OCT friends, I apologise for the quietness but back now ready to continue sharing my love of cricket with you all.

Keep smiling
