Lack of stars signing in this years products??

There is probably a good reason these players have no autographs in recent products and that is because Panini are not prepared to pay the price they (read their agent) is asking for each autograph. Thes guys don't sign for nothing, I remember reading somewhere that the only reason Pippen started signing again was because he was broke.

I think having less of the name players is a good thing as it should (hopefully) help there autos hold some sort of value

But what about the old saying "quality or quantity"? If they're worried about money,
Why not cull the list of players to say 50, and use that money on some of the bigger stars..
If you reduce the hits to say 1 auto per box, I'm sure most people would prefer to pull a Rondo or a Love auto
as opposed to getting 2 'scrubs' autos.

I guess if people are content with mediocrity and are still willing to fork over their cash for it,
then why should panini have any qualms of releasing mediocre products?

I'd still Qualify Gary Payton as a star auto - especially considering an auto for him books at about $50 or so.

No knock on GP, just overlooked him on the list. Even if u add him, that's still a pretty paltry list
