Lack of stars signing in this years products??

Now I dont really bust boxes, but I know a few of you boys do.
But what ive been noticing lately is the lack of 'star' autos thats being pulled from this years products..

Is it just me, or the line up of players they have signing is kinda weak?
Are these top tier players more reluctant to sign? Or is panini not willing to shell out the $$ to get them to?

Would be nice to see some quality hits instead of seeing people pull d league player autos...

Seen plenty of bron, mj & rose come out of Ud, and Kobe & Durant come out of Panini!

And apart from Panini's stable of Kobe, Durant & Griffin, theres not really much star power coming out of these sets:

I have yet to see any autos from these guys in this years products:
Melos, Rose, Westbrook, Love, Dwight, Rondo, Pierce, Deron Williams etc etc etc.

Maybe its just me, but it seems like a pretty weak line up.

From that point of view I fully agree. Pretty weak line up. Panini promised some big name autos when they were new on the scene, including Sir Charles. Yet to deliver imo.

Interesting to see if the trend continues. I've heard some horrendous breaks come out of the new timeless treasure.

I'd still Qualify Gary Payton as a star auto - especially considering an auto for him books at about $50 or so.

I agree! The autos r lacking when it comes to past and present stars. Williams , josh smith ,Carmelo Anthony , rose, Westbrook, love! I don't ever think I've seen a rondo busted in my entire life lol

There is probably a good reason these players have no autographs in recent products and that is because Panini are not prepared to pay the price they (read their agent) is asking for each autograph. Thes guys don't sign for nothing, I remember reading somewhere that the only reason Pippen started signing again was because he was broke.

I think having less of the name players is a good thing as it should (hopefully) help there autos hold some sort of value
