As per ebay policy the seller has to cover the shipping cost when sending back. I have charged the seller shipping on top of what I payed originally after a card came completely destroyed in the post.So here's the seller's latest reply:
So he says he is doing everything he can to make it right but has done nothing but deny he sent me the hat from the start and then even after the screenshot I sent him of a hat that looks exactly like mine (except its all red) with a sig that looks the same as the one I received (except smaller) from one of his sold listings he says it looks 'nothing' like the one I received....I mean seriously this guy is a crook, very disappointing.
I have to dish out money to ship it back to him with tracking so now I will be out of pocket. If I file a dispute with Ebay can they put the cost of shipping it back to the seller on him?? Why should I be out of $$$ and also it was shipped to me through ebay's Global Shipping so how on earth can the seller deny anything to do with the hat I received from the seller??
Does this mean I won't receive the refund until he receives the hat, which btw I don't understand why he even wants it back since he is totally denying he ever owned or seen the hat before so why does he want it back??
Cheers for the advice guys appreciate it always.
Thanks @mattyman76 that's a relief to know the seller will bare the cost of shipping it back to him but first I'll ask him why he even wants back the hat, every message I have received from him he insists he has never seen it and it didn't come from him lol um it arrived from him, it is in the same hat case as the one in his auction and even came with the AI COA even though it was different to the one pictured in his auction lol I'll update everyone with his reply, curious what he has to say about wanting it back.As per ebay policy the seller has to cover the shipping cost when sending back. That last paragraph asking why he wants it back if it isn't his is a good question. I would ask him why I need to send back if it isn't his?
No there's no details of the seller on the box but there's a FedEx sticker label with my address details plastered over the top of whatever the original details were underneath. I am assuming because the package was shipped through ebay's global shipping, the package went to their transit centre first and then from there to me.Has it got his name in the return address
