Have you/are you quiting smoking?

Yeah i gave up in August last year, had been smoking for about 10-12 years. I only really gave up cos i got sick and couldnt smoke for a week or so and after that i just thought nope thats it i wanna be around for my kids when they grow up.

I havent looked back since, i just went cold turkey but could only do that cos i was to sick to smoke. Still have the craving pretty much everyday but still hanging tough.

GL with it mate hope u can pull thru.

That might've been worded wrong, it wasnt meant to read...
"i'm not going to quit untill i finish all these smokes"

Was directed at the people who tell me "finish all your smokes before you quit"

Don't feel tempted at all to go running back to them, even with every person at work smoking every 30 mins, still haven't came close to having one.

great to hear!!! good luck with it brah! if you ever fell like having a dart, sign into hear and we'll all rip into you why you shouldnt!

Hey guys -

I'm now off the smokes aswell!!

I smoked for 15 years and to tell you the truth - I loved every minute of it. We have a baby due in 7 weeks and frankly I didnt want to be around or pick up my baby with smoke all over me. It apparently increases thier chance of lung cancer in later life by up tp 50% just being around them with smoke on your clothes. I'm not sure I believe that but having a baby is probably the only reason I would have ever quit.

So I've been off them for 1 month and 11 days. I used Champix to get off them and it's worked a treat! I would definitely recommend Champix for anyone who wants to quit.

I also got an application for my iphone which gives you goals etc etc. Here's my current stats since I quit:

- Cigarettes not smoked: 738
- Money saved: $344.40
- People who have died of smoking related disease since I quit: 609,396

lol - and 20 feet of cigarettes not smoked!!!

Good luck to all of you :)

Ry
