Gasol for Rondo?

Jefferson for Allen would be great.

I rate all those guys you just mentioned but Ray Allen has done it time and time again, not just in the regular season.

We really don't need Jefferson, I'd like to see another big in the deal with Allen:) Ha ha, wishful thinking.

Are you seriously saying Curry, Morrow and Bonner are better than Allen? Bud, wake up. Those first 2 play on chump teams. They would not be as highly scouted in games as Allen. No doubt they are very nice players/shooters. But the Spurs don't play for the regular season or round 1. They go for the Championship or it's a failure. How do you know Morrow would hold up in an intense playoff series? Although Curry just might, he's classy.

Go Spurs!!!!!

p.s. Gasol for Rondo = no way

Read it again!
I no way am I saying that Curry, Morrow and Bonner are better than Allen... it clearly doesn't say that in my post. I was merely pointing out that Allen's record of the most 3pt made is often assumed to mean the BEST 3pt shooter ever! It should be based on % IMO.

I agree with the Spurs game plan, going for the championship is ALWAYS their aim! I just think the Spurs wouldn't want to disrupt their team dynamic for another 3pt shooter! The Spurs as they stand are hovering between 1st and 3rd over recent seasons for 3pt %.

If anything, they need to work on getting a recruit that can fill their void. Inside movement!

Really??? I'd say a lineup of Nash, Allen, Pierce, Garnett and Lopez could beat anyone.

I actually lol'd at this!! Maybe 3 - 5 years ago..... Other then Lopez and Garnett where is your d?? Miami, Chicago and OKC for starters would run rings around them. All 3 of those teams stretch most teams d to their limits let alone an aging team with only 2 legitimate defense players......

Fair call if you think it goes on 3 pt %. I say it does'nt. I'll take Ray Allen in the dying seconds of an nba finals game and you can have the better 3 pt percentage guys like Morrow or Curry.

Steve Kerr had it all. Best 3 pt % and could come through in big games.

Ray Ray does'nt just shoot. Good defender and still fit as hell. I'm just saying only championship teams will be after him.

I love the Spurs team but they are maybe too old and too young.
I've got some cash on them to win it all and I bloody hope they do and hope T.D gets no.5.

We might just be that 1 solid guy off. Either a defender or another big body. Man I miss Robert Horry:)

DeJuan Blair FTW doesn't carry as much confidence as Big Shot Bob does it?

Ha ha, no unfortunately. Although Blair will be on a mission this year in the playoffs after not getting much time against Memphis (HUGE mistake by Pop I reckon). I know what he was trying to do, but I don't think he thought they were ever gonna lose that series until it was full time in game 6.

Yeah, I guess Pop is allowed 1 mistake in his career.

I have been at a loss to understand the way they have used Blair... When he gets a few game in a row with a good number of minutes, he goes nuts and give back more than you expect. But when his minutes fluctuate like they have been, he is inconsistent.

They need to work with him and make a commitment to him or not have the expectations they do IMO.

Man that old guy Nash struggled against the young team today.

13 pts, 17 ass, 8 reb.

Now I know the Wolves are not OKC, but if he went east he would'nt have to worry about them until the Finals. Ha ha.

Miami have no pg. Bulls would be tough no doubt. But it could be done.

The Suns don't exactly have the quality that the C's do and Nash got 17 ass. So good.

I'd just like to see the C's in the Finals again that's all. It aint gonna happen with the team they've got.

Back OT, I'm torn...

I'd hate to see Pau in a C's jersey...however as he was acquired, it somewhat lessens the pain.

On the other hand, it was awesome to see Rick Fox, a former C's captain, win a ring in the royal purple and gold...and Rondo would be the same.

Arrhhhh...I say no...can't trade with the greatest enemy...but to see Lakers with a non-flopping point guard quicker than me would be great!!

Rondo wont go to N.O., the league owns that team and they see him as a Prima Donna. So that wont happen.

Rondo if traded will most likely end up in L.A. First game with Kobe on the floor, during a time out, Kobe smacks the living hell out of him to show that its HIS team, not Rondos. I love watching Rondo play, however he has the Celtic attitude that has been around sense the late 70's. He should stay in Boston and get rid of the expiring contracts like Garnett and Ray Allen.

Both of them you can get good expiring contract players for, opening cap space for free agency next year, which they can get people as Boston is always a players destination. Without Rondo staying in Boston, players of the 1st tier have no reason to head to bean town.

I think that Rondo should get traded. Lots of reports are saying that Rajon has off-court personility problems, and if Boston want him to become the player to bulid around, leadership is one of the most major things you need. If Rajon has a bad personility, his teammates may not start to like him, like that Kobe/Shaq drama back in 03/04, and it could turn all down hill. It makes perfectly good sense to trade Rondo BUT the Celtics must good a upgrade at the same spot. I was watching on Sportscenter this morning that the Celtics may be thinking to get Westbrook or Curry. The Westbrook one won't happen, but I can see the Curry for Rondo working, but it won't be just them 2, other players/picks would be in the trade as well. But imagine Ellis and Rondo on the same team....talk about egos!!!

The Rondo for Curry talks, apparently the Dubs backed out of that as they don't want to lose Curry.

Somebody mentioned Rondo to the Hawks, but didn't mention J-Smoove; I read a report that the Celtics were looking at him.

If Celtics get rid of Rondo they are idiots !! Who's gonna lead the team after, or be their play-maker? Old players like R.Allen, Pearce or Garnett ?!?!?!
