Thank you all for your comments about me! A few are supportive, and mostly negative!
First thing first - the buyer has paid for the item at 15.05.06 and goods was sent the next day. After received the goods the buyer claimed the box was damaged. With emails in between for about a week, I told buyer that I will make a claim with Australia Post for the damaged item. I did that because the buyer claimed that being the receiver he can't make claim from his end. In fact the receiver can make claim from his end because I've already forward the tracking details and all references to him by email. Australia Post can confirm that, as the claim form has a section for receiver to make claims.
After another week at the 2nd week of April, that's when I've received the claim form from Aust Post. Another week or 2 later, I didn't hear back from Australia Post. The buyer email me a few more times to check on the matter. Instead of making the buyer wait any further, I sent out another replacement set, this time within another layer of cardboard box. That was 01.05.06.
Now everyone please tell me, is one responsible for goods damaged in transit?! As a buyer's point of view, it seems natural. I've had boxes sent all over Australia by Express Post. That's about 20-50 boxes each week! If my method is not up to scratch, then why is there just this one negative feedback regarding it in the past 12 months? I've had other boxes when combined purchases, packed inside cardboard box filled with foam and still got damaged in transit. No one can guard against extreme heavy object drop directly on the package which caused the problem. Lucky that buyer was very understanding, but my point is that I did do this buyer a favour, and sent him a replacement set without wanting to make him wait any further.
After getting the 2nd package, the buyer email me and negative feedback was already mentioned. Even if I'm to make another claim with Aust Post, which I will not with this buyer, it will take at least another 2 weeks before I can get anything back from them. Therefore within 12 hours, neg feedback was left for me!
If you are smart and paid attention to the buyer's post earlier, he stated that He has already purchased the same item from someone else for a lower price. That was even before I sent him the 2nd package! Now please tell me, isn't that the only reason why he insist on the refund? If the 2nd package was damaged, then he can tell from the outer box without opening the wrapper, but instead he claimed there were 20 cards damaged and wants a refund, or neg feedback me right away, and hope I don't do the same for him???!!!
Well, that's my side of the story regarding the 1st matter of this post! If any one of you are not tired of my 2 cents worth, please read on -
For one of the post where he/she claimed my prices are "CRAZY", and another post claimed "other sellers offers better prices & service", can people ask one simple question - who are these people to make such claims? On this forum where people don't show their faces, and hide behind their real eBay ids, you can say what ever you like! Please check one all Basketball Boxes that's currently on auction at eBay with BUY IT NOW price, let see if any one of you can find 5 different boxes with lower price, and lower postage. Don't forget that some sellers have the same price for the same item, but with $10 postage, while my postage is $8 for most of them!
Are these people my competitions who's making this claims on eBay? I don't know, but I will leave it to all of you to check it out.
My next issue is that others claimed my customer service is not up to scratch. That's TRUE! I've got a perfectly well paid day job which requires me 12 hours/day to attend to, and I barely have 2 hours each day to eBay with all the questions from protential buyers, and many lists to look after. When it comes to time to send out invoices, I sent them out by using the same template, which applies to most of my emails. That allows me to save a LOT of time, but it does leave me seem distance/impersonal as one buyer said. I accept that, but I can't change my lifestyle to keep every eBay buyer happy for hundreds of auctions each week. I can only do my best, but looks like my best is not good enough to please all of you.
All I have is my track record on eBay which speaks for itself. The other negative feedback that I have is because the buyer din't think the "official" NRL album is the real thing. I truly don't remeber the 3rd and last negative feedback that I have in the last 12 months. If I can maintain at such pace, then I can live with myself.
Well that's all folks. My name is Stephen Zeng. My eBay seller id is 8088edge. My buying id is 8888edge. I don't have any other ids to fool people. If anyone of you want to negative me for the fun of it, please bring it on! Card collecting is for fun, right? You want to make it personal, GET A LIFE!
THANK YOU ALL FOR READING, HAPPY eBAYING & COLLECTING. Hope you will never have to come acorss any one who has a dark side which won't reveal until someone scratch the surface.
