Ok people I need some advice.
I brought a box of 1990 fleer update cards, inwhich it has the whole 100 cards in a small box. The seller edge888 originally posted the box in the express post bag but didn't protect the box, only threw scrunched up newspaper to fill up the bag. Because of this the box arrived damage with all 100 cards will creased corners on both bottom sides. I ask the bloke to explain and he said he'll sort out a refund. 2 months later after many emails he said he'll shoot me out another box. I arrived today DAMAGED again. He place the box inside another tight box and in a express bag, but didn't tape the lid shut on the box so one of the top corners has been dinged up again as the box has half slid out . (about 20 cards damaged).
What should I do-:
1. Neg him
2. Claim my money back through paypal
3. Tell him to send out another box and wait another month?
Send him an email explaining what's going on, see what he thinks is best, decided what you think is best too, and go from there. IF he sends out another box, as that he takes appropriate care for it. He's already sent out 1 replacement, so I couldnt see another being sent out.
ive notice that before from stephen. i bought a box of inspirations bout 8months ago and i came with the box all banged up but fortunitly the cards were ok. but thats a tough one. i dont know
Nah stuff that. I'm tired and cranky so I'd neg him! He got warned the first time and obviously had a fair bit of email contact with you about what went wrong and still packs them so they get damaged. I'd just pick up a cheap set somewhere else and give him some red feedback.
Whats not to get. He didn't do the right thing the first time. Was called out on it. Didn't do his job the second time. Called out on it. What? He has three chances to send a simple pack of cards???
Not my fault he doesn't take care when packing and not my neg ;-)
I've received a few boxes off of him that have been damaged but fortunately the cards themselves have been ok. I have to agree with Chad though, he had two chances and messed up both times. Besides that, he's otherwise a very good seller.
Messing up twice is enough for a neg but the fact that he attempted to sort the problem out and did send a second box would make me tend to give him the benefit of the doubt.
I would take some pics, send him them and ask what he thinks would be fair.
I would also ask for an immediate response because once a item has ended you only have 90 days to leave your feedback !!!
Don't really buy much from this guy anymore, never had a problem with stuff he sent me, but very blunt and non-talkative in emails which I reckon is a part of "customer service". 2 months is a damn long time when he is only in Australia. Have a good hard think mate.
Thanks Guys. I have filed a refund from ebay.(good luck seeing that come through) as paypal has to be before 35days. An -'ve feedback has been left with option for him to get the boxes back with a SASE, but only if their is no retailiation feedback
Sorry to hear of this Dream but I appreciate you bringing this to our attention.....I know I have bought off him before and so have quite a few people here so if we buy of him again we can ask for our box to be properly protected..........before we pay !
Nah I don't like Stephen.. have a read through his feedback and you'll notice that a lot of the boxes arrive damaged. I myself have bought some before delivered and theyre just inside an express mailer, banging up the corners.
A customer told him off before and Stephen replied with a "next time ask me to put bubble wrap".
What the!
How cheap are bubble wraps man. Tsk tsk for edge8088.
Ive bought a few boxes off him and never had a problem...They are just in an express mailer but none of mine have been damaged...maybe ive just been lucky so far??
Maybe you have, but I do have a memory of one of last years Fleer Tradition boxes I got from him being dinged up pretty bad in 1 corner. Although the cards inside were OK though.
But yeah, these days I would use Justin (SPREE FAN - ebay id jmallitt) as my 1st choice from within Australia. (Apart from Group buys)
