D12 Rapper Shot Dead...

Ice-T? he was about as gangsta as vanilla ice.

which reminds me, if you ever get the chance to see vanilla ices film (cant remember the title) do yourself a favour and see it, its absolutely attrocious. :D its almost scary just how bad it is, like if you were trying to make the shittest film of all time you couldnt do it this well. ah, just remembered "cool as ice" thats the name!

Those all his albums?

So I was 5 off having them all. lol.

Hey, whilst we're all on the topic of "gansta rap", how many here listened to Ice-T? lol. I had like all his albums up until 6. Loved his movie "Tresspass" that was awesome!

Can anyone tell me, the song that opens the College Ball scene on Above The Rim? It's 2Pac, but I dont know what it is..... It's not on the Soundtrack.

yeah it's pain.. ja rule does another version of it, it's good (both of them)

I loved 6 In The Morning, and Sex Rhymes. Some funny shit!

Yeah NJC was awesome movie, had LOTS of names.

Anyone seen the movie "Who's The Man"? Ed Lover, Dr Dre, and HEAPS AND HEAPS of people in it.

Didnt get into NWA much, not sure why....

yeah , NWA were awesome. in about yr 3 my mate got a tape off his brother with '**** da police' on it and that was so cool someone saying **** in a song lol :D

another great hardcore old school group was Onyx, still got a couple of their cds, their first one "Bacda****up" was a classic.

f the police had a fbi investigation and they where told if they do that again they're going to jail for a long long time.. hence it being banned.. and ice - t's cop killa

Had my first Ice-T album on tape when I was 11 - I chose it as a pressie from my grandparents Music Shop. My parents took it back to the store a few days later afer hearing lyrics like "LA home of the body bag" etc. It was the OG "Original Gangsta" one I think. Unhappily, I got Michael Jacksons Dangerous instead.

I like a lot of "gangsta rap" but much prefer some honest, fun hip hop/rnb like de la soul. Kidd n Play were cool as back in the day, remember house party's? that said also have stuff like gravediggaz which is a laugh I suppose, similar to the old slim shady albums in genre - sick twisted stuff, but good rhymes

RIP Proof
thats sad news you would have to be so cold blooded to walk up to someone and look at them in the face as you shoot them and watch them die. I am primarly heavy metal and mourned at the loss of dimebag darrell for weeks and weeks who died in similar circumstances.
rappers seem to get shot everyday, too much ego.
2-pac was the greatest rapper by a mile, some of his classic songs i like are hit em up, do for love, 2 of america's most wanted, dear momma, thugs mansion among many others !!
i heard the news watching mtv today, they payed tribute to proof, i also saw a tribute special on dimbag too when he was killed. :(
only in america would these things happen on a regular occurance.

Got bored at work and I was just browsing through Beckett again. Here is another update or rumour on Proof's shooting night.

"The AP report mentions that "Rapper Proof fired the first bullet in a Detroit nightclub shootout that ended his life, police said Wednesday."

Who cares....let these losers from rival gangs all shoot each other, if they're dead they cant hurt innocent people. I have no pity for these people.

How do you know he was a victim of a rival gang wars?

From what I gather, he was only an artist, musician. He doesn't kill innocent people for fun. Does he still deserve to die?

Just because they're black and a rap musician, it's not all about gang bangs all the time.
